    Default why

Is this primarily the question that Ni answers? I understand that other information aspects can provide answers to this question, but is this primarily Ni's domain?

"Why" is an infinitely broad question, and can be answered in any multitude of ways depending on what it's referring to. Any IE is probably capable of answering that question if the subject matter is in its realm, so to say that such a basic question is directly tied to a specific IE seems kinda farfetched to me.

They are more likely to answer why within their own understanding rather then to ask a question.

    Here's an example:

    " i don't understand why white dudes...."

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

The question was intended to be vague.

I'm inclined to agree, but then I think introverted IEs tend to have an advantage over extroverted ones. Maybe it's my Ni understanding of "why", but it seems to be more about relations (fields) than objects (bodies).

Yes, and are certainly the most important elements to answer the question "why?"

I tend to associate the question of "why" more with .

I think this is way too general. Even ESFps and ESFjs ask themselves "why" person X didn't come to their birthday party (to name just a very stereotypical thing).
