This is a stab in the dark but I'm going to say a base type. I get the impression the person becomes one with the instrument when playing, which reminds me of some SLI/SEI musicians I know.

valuing, I think. Just from reading the first bit, the person seems to focus on classification and "what counts as X".

Then the person shows some Se/Ni values IMO - the concern about being correct in what people consider a big musician, being able to fulfill the "requirements". You know that concern of not be "lower" or not being among the "real ones".
Then, this importance of the others, of the public, being part of this synergy that can make you forget about yourself and spread your wings - this is more of a Fe, but Beta Fe IMO.

So I think that he/she is EIE. Clearly an Ti/Fe valuer, then I'm so-and-so certain that it's Beta, is this the person I'm thinking about?
Yeah. Thanks for the analysis! Makes sense.. The stuff you attributed to Se/Ni - yeah, I didn't relate to that. And I'd say something like "well pianists are just pushing buttons you know? It's not our fault that sounds come out." :-P But it seems that he'd rather keep certain things on a pedestal. I don't relate to that at all. To a certain extent, I relate to the part about music flowing in, and the limbs just moving of their own accord.. but eh - well actually I think I feel more aware of why and where my limbs are moving/going. And the part about not concerning himself with details - I'm always concerning myself with the details. My goal is to be aware of every single detail. :-p

The person is looking for someone to put a system to their thoughts; they ask "I've been thinking about 'musicianship' and what classifies one as a musician."

They are seeking Ti who classify things, and puts things into a system.

How would a Ti type differ from that though?

    I would say F > T, in general.

I kinda relate to the part about doing things (and not mechanically) yet not being there completely - I don't play music but I feel like that sometimes, for example when doing presentations. So I suppose Beta NF sounds about right.
