Yes, no kidding. In fact, the library is of the most popular spots in my town. You often find the intellectually curious there, who love to learn, intellectually stimulated by the wealth of knowledge accessible within its walls. Funny how that works.

It's too quiet a scene for me; I need interaction/participation. I need a place where people can be people not a place where people must remain quiet...that drives me nuts after awhile.

You're thinking of the stereotypical library scene. I don't know where you come from, but, it's not that quiet at my library. There are quiet areas as well as areas that invite interaction (with a gas fireplace, cozy arm chairs and sofa), also, the kids section is designed for interaction to promote teaching kids to read, learn and discuss books. Downstairs, there are meetings rooms for community events. Oddly enough, the librarians actually talk to you. And most townspeople look forward to volunteering. There is never a shortage of help. And these volunteers are not your typical "quiet nerdy" types.

The term (club med) refers to a chic place. Libraries here are not like that. It's not a medical place, it's a relaxing resort/vacation spot.

Not really. As I mentioned in my post, the library in my town caters to many needs, not just for those who want it quiet. You're not guaranteed that the sales clerk in the bookstore is going to 'shhh' the patrons.

My point in my previous posts was that libraries don't need to be regarded as tombs. Move away from the stereotypes.

He had his reasons for leaving this forum, I'm pretty sure he's still on another forum but I don't know the name of it.

Or SEI, who also happen to be the type of a few who are apparently causing marital problems for some of her friends.
Oh, to find you in dreams - mixing prior, analog, and never-beens... facts slip and turn and change with little lucidity. except the strong, permeating reality of emotion.
