Default Sensors, intuitives and foreign cultures

    STEREOTYPE WARNING ON

    RANDOM IDEAS WARNING ON

I've noticed the bulk of the non-English speakers of this forum are intuitives. (Please report yourself in this thread so we can assess the real situation).

PERHAPS sensors are -by far- prone to stick to their local culture whereas intuitives are prone to embrace foreign cultures.

MMmm. My ESI girlfriend is interested in foreign cultures and she speaks/writes english quite well, but she'd probably never join a theorethical psychology forum. So, I think here we are selecting for both characteristics, perhaps the bottleneck is the latter, I don't know (since I think there's more intuitives than sensors on the forum, right? Something like 70-30?). Yet my girlfriend is only one observations among many, so it can only be used to disprove an assertion such as "no sensor likes other cultures other than his own".

Yeah, I think English speaking countries tend to be somewhat more .... xenophobic.

At least, a school of thought could be what is point of speaking another language when so many speak your own?

Oh, I almost rambled about something else there, but I stopped.

And good point about the forum population bottleneck, certainly could have an affect.

    ---------------

In regards to bi-multi-lingual S types, I can think of an infrequent poster who speaks both Spanish and English, which would be LokiV.

I hate people who can't see past their own culture. I don't know if it's a type thing or not though. I find it comes a little easy to me for completely unrelated reasons (genetics.. my family is heavily mixed).

    I don't think it's S/N related. How are the rational/irrational statistics?

IMO South-American countries comes the second, then the rest of the Eastern Asia.

USA, as a state, is pretty Gamma (Te + Se), and imperialist: they like to say US to USA and American to USA-related. The rest of us confined, sounds smart and trendy, although incorrect .
I think you might have confused the point of this thread with the other one, types of countries/states or whatever...

From my point of view, this is basically an "anglo-saxon" forum where forum members talk about "Russian/Lithuanian/Ukrainian" psychology and "American popular culture".

    The task is simple:

    Example:

Who are the people in bold? I don't think I've ever seen them post on here. Are they going by a different username now?

Kristiina is a long time member from this site. I think Implied is Intuitive too.

English is now the universal language, is it not? I've had urges to learn other languages, but found no direct point or application for it. I thought of learning Russian to read Socionics articles, but I doubt this theory and it's language will come in handy to me in the future.
