    Default Conflictors that look similar

According to the Reinin dichotomies there should be a very large number of traits that we can identify as being held common between Conflictors. If this claim holds true, we should be able to find Conflictor pairs of which the two members are highly similar despite their being Conflictors in the first place. This thread is devoted to the search for Conflictor pairs of this kind.

    My contribution:

    Phil McGraw, ISTj:

and Jason Lee, ENFp (Earl, guy with brown mustache, in this):

The dichotomies held in common between conflictors supposedly are:
    Emotivist/Constructivist
    Obstinate/Compliant
    Tactical/Strategical
    Carefree/Calculated

    Taciturn/Narrator
    Aristocrat/Democrat
    Static/Dynamic

Should be enough for a sense of similarity, right?

Not the best video of him but...

IMO Henry VIII (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) from the Tudors is an ESFp with an attitude that resembles that of INTjs at times. "Uncompromising" is how it is described in the descriptions. Not most regards similar to an INTj at all, but possibly the kind of similarity we'd be looking for.

Oprah is ISFp. Many ISFp get in relationships with ISTp; they get along great when they are not having sex.

No, but you've changed her name, so I guess changing her type wouldn't be such a bad idea.

Oh don't make post vids of Phil and Oprah having a wonderful time. Any claim that the two are conflictors has no chance of surviving for longer than 2 minutes.

This thread needs a video of one of Morgan Freeman's performances in an ESTp role. I know he did one of those at least once.

He seems Si > Ni, but also seems to freely use Fe, so maybe ISFp or Si-ESTj.

You probably think he's boring and too concerned with his principles, or something. Just a guess. EIEs are attracted to this kind of authentic, unsurprising, from my perspective: boringly ruled nature, but my guess is that you had your type right back when you thought you were an irrational type. Those like Dr. Phil or Clint Eastwood just aren't SLIs. It's insulting putting them in that category. But you can keep thinking you have it right, I don't really care much, I just don't want to have to read it for the zillionth time, and I'd like to help you.

I mainly type Dr. Phil as ISTj on the basis of his brand of emotionality: a very mechanical and blatantly false kind that is very much like my own when I go through the trouble of making myself socially presentable. This exactly what the Reinin property of Emotivism that coincides with Thinking + Judging refers to, by they way.

I'd also like to point out that Eastwood does not display anything remotely resembling that kind of emotive behavior!

He is loud and obnoxious in the wrong attention seeking way. I like people that are harmoniously capable of fitting into their social environment and that's what I look for in ESFjs. Maybe Murphy is ESFp after all, I don't know.

Haha! I like Eddie Murphy and I do think he's ESFj. He's also been typed ENFp and ENFj by others, but I've always thought of him as ESFj. And I agree on Dr Phil being ISTj. Any associations of him and Oprah with Delta are wrong, imo, and are usually coming from the humanitarian image they've build in the process of promoting themselves.

ESTj men make up more then 13% of the human population and in my estimation more so the odds are very likely among male population for them to be one don't you think...mathematically?

Since we're on the subject of comedians:

I think Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, Russel Peters, Carlos Mencia and Sarah Silverman are all overrated. Chapelle is awesome and Omid Djalili is way underrated.

Not in the same sense. Eastwood is certainly known for another brand, though he lightly seeks out and conjurs Fe atmospheres typical of the same LSI type. Neither of these guys are Fe-PoLR in the slightest...

Eddie Murphy is overrated as a movie actor, except for Coming to America. In movies he's pretty much a black mid-career Jim Carey. I don't think he's overrated as a stand-up comedian though. Chris Rock is somewhat overrated, but not much. I don't know Russel Peters. Carlos Mencia and Sarah Silverman are def. overrated.

Katt Williams, on the other hand, could never be overrated, because he is a minor deity. I don't know Omid Djalili.
Not a rule, just a trend.

IEI. Probably Fe subtype. Pretty sure I'm E4, sexual instinctual type, fairly confident that I'm a 3 wing now, so: IEI-Fe E4w3 sx/so. Considering 3w4 now, but pretty sure that 4 fits the best.

    Yes 'a ma'am that's pretty music...

Eddie Murphy was great in Trading Places. IMO.

ETA: Chris Rock's early HBO specials were way better than the latest ones. He wasn't very overrated then.
