    Default Hulk Hogan

The famous wrestler, who has a real life soap called 'Hogan knows best'

I'm not certain about his type but my first quick impression is ISFP

Does anyone know what type he is?

well here is the funny thing.

When watching that wrestling youtube movie, I agree that you would say SLE or LSE, he's loud, aggressive and clearly present etc.

But if you look at his real life soap, when he's with his family and not acting, he seems the stereotypical SEI. Very careful and soft etc. Even somewhat submissive and giving in. Also the IP temperament and SEI simple humor seems striking. He does get mad (or pretends to) and tries to control at times, but does that in a very poor and unconvincing way. It's weird how he can change that much.

I agree that he should be typed based on footage from the real life soap rather than on his TV-personality.

Clear example of LSI subtype IMO.

"Hogan knows best" is like saying Hogan is as stubborn as 4 .

From what I've noticed he often uses beta rational methods when raising his kids. He is a bit overly protective to a degree of possessiveness (quite typical for beta ST) and which is even more typical to "beta j" he tries to teach his kids lessons through putting them into tests.

You seem to be looking at their body type not sociotype here.

LSIs often have "heavy eyelids" if you know what I'm talking about

That's the type I thought he was too.

They both lift weights so they are the same type? The vibe they transmit via their faces, even in those two pictures, is completely different. Hogan is soft-ish in his attitude, very calm and collected, whereas Schwartzenegger is abrupt and issuing.

I like to compare people to Sean Connery to check whether they're ISTjs. This guy passes the test with flying colors.

Jarno's suggestion that he might be ISFp isn't the worst in this thread either. That's probably the second type I'd try for him long before I'd give ESTj a thought.

cant even see arnolds eyes. I can see Ne polr for Hogan for sure. Rational. He's like Dog the Bounty Hunter no?
Strangely I see what you mean about the "heavy eyelids". Keeps em from seeing Ne.

Also reminds me of Jesse the Body Ventura.

I never associated that with LSEs... I`m a bit confused at the moment. I thought it`s not common for LSEs to behave in such a manner. I always associated that with Se. Of course they are able to do so. Everyone is. I just thought LSEs normally avoid such behavior, because they don`t feel comfortable behaving "loud" and "aggressive". But maybe my way of thinking is too steriotypical... (please teach me -- I´m a beginner)

In this picture, the guy in front of him is LSE

    http://www.wrestlingsuperstars.org/w...Hulk-Hogan.jpg

So, I am very sure that he is ST; protruding supercilliary arches are apparent making him a T and now I am looking at pictures to confirm if he really is ESTj/LSE

Look at the flat head in the back...he is ISTp

    LOL...I do both...LOL

His choice of bright showy collors and his affection, giving in nature gives him away as IP instantly.

ESTj and ISTp look and act so much alike that they confuse their relations (dual/activity/mirror-all except identical, identicals know when they are alike- because everything is super same, as in dressing, eatting, talking, thinking, including energy level)

In ESTj side picture...the one I offered, you will see that the spine goes behind his trachea; where hulks trachea is pushed farther behind almost to the back of his head in comparison to his ESTj friend there.

In his real life show, his suspisciousness and controlling of his kids certainly point to ISTJ. But he's so soft and caring which reminded me of ISFP. Also his devotion to kids / hulkamaniacs , remind me of a caring guy who wants to bring joy to others, I don't think an ISTJ would go through that much trouble.

Also in his real life show, dominating doesn't come natural to him, so that's why LSE and SLE can't be right IMO. That's just his wrestling act.

Oh believe me. ISTjs aren't just dumb, rigid military folks. They are caring. My grandpa was an ISTj - my dual. He was very very protective towards me, yet he allowed me to do almost anything I wanted cause I made him laugh. I would pull him hard by his ears and he would enjoy it. When I look at Hogan I get the same kind of feelings towards this guy as towards my grandpa. Like I could torture him with laughter and he would be just enjoying it .
ISTj are like rocks on the outside but they have a very very soft and tender inside and they show it for their loved ones .

Talking bout ESTjs. Here you have one:

Clearly not Hogan's type... Sean Connery was a good call there.

    I don't confuse it.

simply put, there is a difference between ISTJ and ISFP. The ISFP is, simply put, softer.

Hulk Hogan reminds me more of the ISFP. But as I said, it was a first impression.

I have never morphologically observed an ISFp in any wrestling events...but I have seen ISTj in football and baseball.

That might be, but somehow it shouldn't be a surprise to encounter ISFP in show wrestling.

ISFP are artists, like to perform for others(dj's/singers etc), they are bodely types (sports fitness adventures)

I would be more surprised to find an ILI in show wrestling :-d

When you see him in his wrestling act, he seems like he's some kind of LSE or SLE, but when you see his reality show where he's at his home then you can see that he's an SEI.

I'll check next time when I watch, whether he could be ESI. He's certainly likely a 'softer' type.

ESFj seems more believable to me than ESTj. Not sure why though. Seems like a fairly cool guy though nonetheless.

ESFj does make a lot more sense.

I get a lot of exposure to Hogan through the local media here since he is a resident of Tampa Bay (in fact, his Clearwater/Belle Air mansion is visible from the water and it's fucking huge). Bubba the Love Sponge*, a local radio personality who has gained national notoriety thanks to a satellite port, is good friends with Hogan and it's not uncommon for them to call each other now and again on the air. This was especially true when all that drama was going down with his son and getting the divorce and all that.

For the record, I've listened to Bubba's terrestial radio program for years, long before he got kicked off 98ROCK.

SF just "feels better" than ST for some reason.

    * Interesting side note, I believe Bubba is also an EJ temperament.

Exactly. He has an IP temperament.

He's also very soft in his family environment. Totally the opposite from his wrestling act.
