Your type does not change; sure your personality can, that is something entirely different, that relates more so to the persona; but the structure of the psyche stays the same throughout life.

A girl I was dating said she was oh so great at sex etc, but she didn't do blowjobs.
My reply: Oh I'm really romantic etc, I just will never take you out to dinner.

    No.

types are visible at childhood. And stay the same. Try to see it as something like Gender.

I had some ESTp-ish traits as a kid. Very bossy and angry. There was a group of friends that I always competed for the leadership of with an ISTj.

I was always a painfully quiet kid and in no way an extrovert, except for at home. In high school I was outspoken about some things, but was still known as being very quiet.

I don't know what my type is, or even if type is real, but when I first took MBTI in college, back in 2003, I was ENTP. Now I consider myself an 'introvert' out of personal preference/attitude.

    I think types are genetic.

I am the same person I always have been really. Quiet, introspective, dreamy, loves to write, rich inner life- no external world at all much. Got in trouble for daydreaming, rebelling against authority, and attracting the attention of homoerotic rough gangsta estp men.

I was the same type. To a hilarious degree. I kind of hope I either have or know an IEI kid at some point, because we're hilarious.
Not a rule, just a trend.

IEI. Probably Fe subtype. Pretty sure I'm E4, sexual instinctual type, fairly confident that I'm a 3 wing now, so: IEI-Fe E4w3 sx/so. Considering 3w4 now, but pretty sure that 4 fits the best.

    Yes 'a ma'am that's pretty music...

I am grateful for the mystery of the soul, because without it, there could be no contemplation, except of the mysteries of divinity, which are far more dangerous to get wrong.

I was a lot more dutiful as a kid, and I think that was in overdrive trying to tell me what I "should" be. I was also pretty miserable. While I still know how to be dutiful and organized when I absolutely need to, I place a lot less importance on it than I used to. It kind of helps that I work in an environment that allows me to be flexible, though.

I also used to be a lot more reserved than I am now.. the same lack of self-confidence that caused me to turn to and shun my natural strengths kept me pretty quiet as a kid.

I was more stereotypically ENTp as a kid, then I got sorta 5-ish and stereotypically INTx like, then I spent the last 2 years of high school being angsty and emo and became kinda stereotypically INFp like.

Now I plan to become stereotypically ESFp like, because I'm tired of virginity.

I was the same Socionics type as a child.

In my experience, people are the same Socionics types throughout their lives.

Of course, people change. However, I haven't experienced anything that would lead me to believe that underlying personality structure changes (i.e. IM elements.)
