There are many great beta athletes. This thread's purpose is to compile a list of them.
I'll start with some INFps:
Joe Flacco, (NFL Quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens
Eli Manning:

I've always thought Andy Pettitte was admirably Aristocratic. Probably Beta introvert; I see some expression similarities to Nick, as well as an IEI friend of mine from high school.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...
Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
Whilst our laughter echoed,
Under cerulean skies...
I could easily see Pettite as Ti ISTj. I see the expression resemblance you're talking about, but he seems static>dynamic to me. Look at how stiff and block-like he looks in that pic with the suit. Doen't seem as fluid as INFps.
Oh and Derek Jeter is INFp, compare their moments an manners of speaking.
I agree with Andy Pettitte as INFp.
Cliff Lee, Philadelphia Phillies, Ni-INFp
Derek Jeter, NY Yankees, Ti-ISTj
Alex Rodriguez, NY Yankees, Ti-ESTp
A few beta NFL quarterbacks
Donovan McNabb (Fe-ENFj: )
Boomer Esiason (Ni-ENFj: )
Ben Roethlisberger (a leading subtype Beta ST: )
The Boston Celtics (4/5 of the starting line-up is beta: )
Paul Pierce, (Ni-INFp: )
Kevin Garnett (Se-ISTj) and Rajon Rondo (Ti-ISTj: )
Kendrick Perkins (Ti-ISTj: )
"Dr J" Julis Erving, Ni-INFP --
Tony Dungy, Ni-INFp --
Mike Ditka, Se-ISTj
Chris Berman (sports broadcaster,) Fe-ENFj -- (I was WRONG about this typing... He's actually Se-ESFp -- JM, 02/14/10)

I'm pretty sure Tiger Woods is ISFj
INFj

I've actually thought of this subject before and some are slipping my mind right now, but here is some of my list of Beta athletes:
A.J. Pierzynski
Ozzie Guillen
Kevin Youkilis
I do think Tiger's caddy Steve Williams is a Beta
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/etick...=stevewilliams
Dana White (President of the UFC) -- totally Beta
INFj
9w1 sp/sx
I think Don Cherry's a Beta
INFj
9w1 sp/sx
what types do you propse for ozzie and aj
EDIT: I think that Tiger Woods is Ni-INFp ... JM, 02/14/10.

For the hell of it, here's another INFp:
Dr J Julius Erving:
Youk is totally LSI-Se.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...
Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
Whilst our laughter echoed,
Under cerulean skies...
I think Mike Lowell is probably Beta too.
INFj
9w1 sp/sx
Lowell is definitely some introvert, just based off raw impressions I might say EII over IEI.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...
Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
Whilst our laughter echoed,
Under cerulean skies...
Which beta NF do you think he is..?
Wes Welker, New England Patriots = INFp (compare w/ Jake Gyllenhall)
(this is the only thing on youtube that features an interview w Welker?? he's acting in it for kenny mayne's skit)
I find it amusing that you posted a video of a likely IEI athlete and the video capture just happens to have the guy in the lotus position, that's too perfect
EII INFj

Rex Ryan -- coach of the NY Jets, ESTp
How could I possibly have forgotten
Jim Brown
INFj
9w1 sp/sx
Stipe Drews(Drviš). ESTp.
Boxer.
??? if true then lol...lol anyway, if he had managed to beat grandpa properly no such stories would occur IMO.In March 2008 Stipe Drews participated in reality show called "Farma" on Croatian Nova TV. After enduring three weeks in the show, he started up a fist fight with 57-year old photographer Stephen Lupino(conflict relation fwiw) during live TV broadcast and thus earned disqualification from the show. According to guards on Farma Lupino even won fight.[2]

Two (more) INFp NBA all-stars:
Steve Nash -- Ni-INFp
Dirk Nowitzki -- Ni-INFp
Also, Paul Pierce (another NBA all-star) is INFp.
I've been watching some of the Olympics and I think Hannah Kearney (American gold medalist for Women's Moguls) is an SLE

I have always thought A-Rod was LIE.
Famous Formula 1 drivers and my typings on them
http://www.the16types.info/vbulletin...1-drivers.html
ILE "Searcher"
Socionics: ENTp
DCNH: Dominant --> perhaps Normalizing
Enneagram: 7w6 "Enthusiast"
MBTI: ENTJ "Field Marshall" or ENTP "Inventor"
Astrological sign: Aquarius
To learn, read. To know, write. To master, teach.
Why do you think that A Rod is LIE..?
I think he's SLE because I've noticed a pattern in his romantic relationships, (the public ones, anyway) they seem to be with betas... His ex-wife, Madonna, and Kate Hudson are all betas, I think...
If there's a strong pattern of being with people from one quadra in particular--that's great evidence, I think.
ARod's also supposed to have been good friends with Derek Jeter, who I think is beta too, Ti-LSI. (I read that ARod was kinda jealous of Jeter at one time... I've been noticing this in mirror relationships--streaks of jealousy sometimes.)
Go Yankees!!
Kevin Garnett (Se-ISTj) and Rajon Rondo (Ti-ISTj).
nah, i think they are delta. Garnett is IEE, Rondo is LSE. Garnett is all fun, games and clever attitudes. Saying stuff like "see you tryna to get some chin hair, i'll show you how to do that later" is kind of like making fun of Se, actually.
asd
Among those mentioned that I disagree with, I think
Dungy is an ISFj
A-Rod an ISFj
Pierce an ISFp
Garnett and Rondo ENFps
K. Perkins an ESTj
I agree on a lot of the others (Jeter as ISTj, etc.)
some other Celtics' types, in my opinion, and for the hell of it:
Allen - ESFp
Rivers - INTp
Davis - ENTp
Robinson - ENTj
Ainge - ESFj
Wallace - ESFj
Aren't many betas there.
Oh yeah, and Nash is an INTp.
Gisele Bunchen's husband is ISTj; you won't find any N types in physical sports, we are physically and mentally fragile for such well, intense activities.

Dual type (as per tcaudilllg)
Enneagram 5 (wings either 4 or 6)?
I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE
