Default Newbie needs help with test results

    Hi there,

i am new to socionic and took the test on socion.info.
Here are my results (link: http://socion.info/cgi-bin/index.cgi...st&link=short)

    F ( Ne ) = 10
    B ( Ni ) = 120
    D ( Se ) = 30
    F ( Si ) = 15
    C- ( Te ) = 45
    B- ( Ti ) = 100
    F ( Fe ) = 0
    A+ ( Fi ) = 180

    Ne vs Si = 25
    Ni vs Se = 150
    Te vs Fi = 225
    Ti vs Fe = 100

    Plausible Types
    INFj intuitive subtype
    ENFp intuitive subtype
    ENTj intuitive subtype
    INTp intuitive subtype
    ESFp ethical subtype
    ISFj ethical subtype

    Sensing vs Intuition
    Ethics vs Logic

Can someone shed some light on this? What does this mean?
I already read the descriptions of the types, but couldn't find much info on the subtypes, so i can't evaluate what description seems more fitting to me.

Btw. what is an ethical subtype?

    Any help much appreciated.

I would say INTp, intuitive subtype. You tested high on Fi because it's your Hidden Agenda; I tend to test high on Fe, especially on mcnew's test.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

Thanks for your classification. But the description of an INTp doesn't fit me very well. While I am very polite and diplomatic, reserved and quite good in wordplay and sarcasm (i am in the technical business and have to hold briefings, in german of course ;-)) i am not aware of my social or charming skills.

In fact, it is difficult for me to come in contact with strangers, especially in a large group. I have a reputation for being analytic and objective, yet i am not very self confident although it doesn't seem to be evident too often - i try to compensate this in preparing very well.

I have few but longlasting friendhips, and foreigners would be suprised that i can be very humorous and entertaining to them. Yes, i classify in *us* and *them* quite often...

I am very interested in technic and gadgets, but i prefer a good book (especially with some facts as a background of the story) more than watching tv or cinema. Sort of a homeboy i guess, and not much into sports, although i am quite concerned with my health. If depleted of energy, i prefer solitude to recover.

I hate redundancy and idle gossip, but will be able to listen to someone if i feel it is important to him and sometimes i like to play the devils advocate just for the sake of argumentation.

I am normally not very well organized, my home is a mess (period furniture of high quality, but cluttered), but i prefer it this way and i am very angry if someone changes this and i am not able to find things anymore.

I am also very pessimistic and sometimes quite moody. Sometimes i like to visit special places (old churches, ruins, castles) and think a lot about the futility of sacrifices in history. I enjoy the atmosphere there when i have the blues.

Does this fit to an INTp? Will tell more if needed.

Yes this is consistent with being INTp.

Which description did you refer to?

I refer to this description: http://socionics.com/prof/intp.htm

That said, i am never rude or vulgar. I dislike this very much, altough i will hide my feelings. My facial expression is rather passionless, but i can be happy as a clam sometimes. My mouth is usually kept tightly shut even when relaxed (and i am only relaxed at home, i don't like competition very much). I enjoy beauty in females or art, also clothing is very important to me (expensive, but not too flashy, i prefer the elegant style).

I am not too materialistic. I would prefer to loose money rather then some freetime. Most important to me is my relationship. I am married since 9 years, and my wife is the most important person in my life.

I am also a complete night owl, and when i concentrate on something important to me i often loose the time. So sometimes i have problems beeing punctual.

What serves me very well is my outstanding ability to memorize - it often makes me appear smarter then i am...

One last point: one of my subordinates at work dislikes me because of the "missionary like fanatism" i show in defending my point of view. But he is the only one so far and he seems to be of an artisan kind.

One last remark: i am not too much in details, i don't like getting lost in them. I prefer a more abstract view and leave details to implementation.

That is all i can say so far, don't know if it makes much of a difference.
So if you feel i am still an INTp, i probably am.

Yes, but from my understanding of the test result Ni is more dominating then Te, what seems to be more common to the INTj profile (just reading another description of the INTp profile).

But what bothers me most, is that i am not as much a constructor as an INTp seems to be. I am much more a describer and interpreter than a creator, not inventing but combining. Yes, i am indeed an observer, for instance after visiting a person i can tell exact details on the course of discussion, but also on his rooms. I often tell others about details they missed and i am only detached from my surroundings when thinking or reading.

I am also sometimes sort of a con man, playing the role others expect me to fullfill to a degree that sometimes in my past i didn't know who i really was, but what is truth anyway? I can be very adapted sometimes, and outright rebellious if i feel forced to do something i don't like.

I am also the exact opposite of bubbly.

You still prove without a doubt that you are INTp.

Thanks to all for your help.

Cone, as you are an INTp, may i ask if you can identify yourself with my descriptions?
I would also like to know from an INTp what he thinks are the key aspects of this profile.
What does intuitive subtype imply? What would be the difference between Cone and me?

Forget the tests. Post some of your pics and you'll know your type instantly.

If you want, send me some of your pics to rodionn@verizon.net, I'll let you know your type.

Only half the people believe in VI (visual identification). I think that VI is great if you combine it with body language and facial expressions, but I don't think that one passport-type picture would be enough for anyone to correctly tell your type. There are many people who think that VI works and they might be right. You might even give it a chance.

    You sound like an INTp.

I guess, it depends on who studied what. I knew a guy who spent 5 years studying handwriting in correlation with Socionics. He definitely wouldn't ask you for a pic! I concentrated in VI, so I am strong at that. You are more than right when you say that one passport pic may not be enough. Most of the time it'll work on ESFPs and ISTPs because those are the most popular guys. I'd rather see you in person, but since you can't squeeze yourself into my monitor, just send a pic or two.

If I can't define your type, I'll honestly tell you.
