So if Ni egos are missing these details they have just a good picture (but different picture) of what's going on as Ni polrs.
I wholeheartedly agree. That is the price of intuition, for both Ni and Ne. In order perceive things abstractly, only details personally considered important, is taken to account, while the rest is sacrificed.

I think Ni-polrs are very good at seeing connections at one point in any dimension. They may not necessarily see (or care, for that matter) how one point may lead to another, or how each points may come together, but they have a great propensity to master the point which interests them.

In fact, the way I think Ni-polr and Si-polr compensate for their weakness is as follows:

    Ni-polr - By mastering as many points as possible, thus slowly creating or seeing a "greater" or "bigger" picture;

Si-polr - Consider more details than they would otherwise, thus creating or seeing a more "tangible" or more "correct" picture.

Hehe, this thread is to stop my spam, isn't it?

Anyway, playing WoW with Isha now. She recently upgraded from Evony, heh.

On the WoW topic, I wonder if my old guild was rather Delta. There was a strong informal sense, everyone was on nickname basis and joking with the leaders, and I got Officer status for having a deep'n'meaningful with the guy about non-game stuff, making me trusted enough for said rank. Awesome policy.

The nature of the guild has changed a bit. Now, you get Officer if you hit 80, it seems, and we have some unpleasant elements sitting in the guild too. Hopefully I can weigh in with my thoughts about how to restore "The Good Old Days".

    Good God I'm Delta. Anyway.

This made me age 10 years - PLEASE DO NOT PUT AMBIGUOUS MESSAGES IN YOUR SIGNATURES ON THE INTERNET!

I had a great Thanksgiving - a bunch of guys made an insane dinner (13 sides, a turkey, and three different pies for dessert) while I watched and conversed!

And I hate the cold. It has started to drop below 75 degrees during the day and gets really cold at night...I wish I could live here forever...

If you believe I didn't get your point it is because you tend to underestimate others. Just cut the bullshit and condescending attitude, can you? Your message that we NFs are wrong because we make simple things complicated is plain false.

You don't have a developed "minds' eye", how are you going to understand? We respond to what we perceive, just like you. It's just that we see further both in time and space than what you'll ever be able to.

No one compares women with beer, we just think they go together well. (Like these two things for instance). And you're not even an IEE, so get the fuck out of Delta already.

That wasn't my message, and I wasn't being condescending, either.

I'm making fun of STs (or sometimes just men) for being so simplistic about their relational stance to others, this includes myself.

At least you're being honest, I'll give you that. Although I hope you can see how Fi's (and I imagine a lot of other people) would take offense to dehumanizing people like that macro did, even if you didn't intend to show you were agreeing with it

Gul on evolutionary upgrades, and Isha on Delta Irrationals*.

(11:11:13 PM) HulGul - Northern Polights: obtw
    (11:11:49 PM) Isha: oh?
(11:12:21 PM) HulGul - Northern Polights:
(11:12:27 PM) HulGul - Northern Polights: We're evolutionary upgrades!
(11:13:04 PM) HulGul - Northern Polights: Instead of me rambling, you can listen to the end result of me having rambled. It's perfect!
    (11:15:24 PM) Isha: lol
(11:18:23 PM) HulGul - Northern Polights: Summary: sybaritic epicure Isha knows where it's at.
    (11:18:36 PM) Isha: lol
    (11:19:41 PM) Isha: interesting concept
(11:19:56 PM) Isha: i'd certainly like to devote most of my life to chilling out
(11:20:08 PM) HulGul - Northern Polights: 2:1 ratio
(11:20:20 PM) HulGul - Northern Polights: Seriously, go for the invalid musician plan.
    (11:20:29 PM) Isha: lol
(11:20:48 PM) HulGul - Northern Polights: We're the worst Deltas ever
(11:20:53 PM) HulGul - Northern Polights: Where's the Te??
    (11:20:59 PM) Isha: lol
(11:21:12 PM) Isha: the Te is in doing our work so efficiently that we can spend more time playing

    EDIT

*But not really. I was actually talking to Ryu about WoW, and he brought up that it seems like a waste to invest that much time and money into a virtual thing. I'm sort of playing with that being a Ne/Si vs Te/Fi difference at the moment, and thought the basic idea of devoting time to chilling and play from Isha was applicable in this case.

I still don't really know the point of this thread and if what I am about to write is even appropiate but I'll share.

An SLE recently said to me: "[Greeter], you are charismatic but you have to be more charming."

After asking him "Why?", he responded with "So you can be even more charismatic."

    I found it amusing.

Well then, it would still be an interesting exercise to try quantifying the different restrictions the two Delta dyads place on the more-restricted complementary pairs (ie, how the irrational dyad, Ne/Si, IEE/SLI, whatever you want to call it restricts Te and Fi, and likewise how the rational dyad restricts Si and Ne)

    EDIT

It just occurred to me. Perhaps the HA is kind of like wild growth, and needs some grooming from the more restrictive creative function, while the Base and DS are basically no-holds barred since they're more inherently balanced and less damaging. The HA being like this is possibly due to the PoLR being a blind spot for the individual.

The point of the thread is to have a chat thread within delta, so that deltas can talk about insignificant things here in the thread, amongst each other.

Yes, it's somewhat un-delta, but, sometimes there are things you feel like saying that aren't threadworthy - and like I said in the original post, I thought I'd try for something that was more delta-oriented rather than opening it up to anything goes.

idk what will become of it.

Consider it an "Si column" for everyone in delta to write in.

What you contributed was fine. I enjoyed reading it.

I apparently have awesome dreams without realizing it. What does it say when you have a first-person shooter StarCraft dream that turns into Lego and just assume it's a normal dream?

Let me repeat that: Lego StarCraft first-person shooter dream. And at the end I was riding a tank shaped like an Abomasnow.

Family friendliness. Non-frustrating gameplay. Sense of humor. I think that's it? Heh, they're kind of the Delta of videogames, very safe in design terms, focused on being fun. Alpha games are more experimental and may flop because they're too focus on some design vision which doesn't work out to actually be fun, and frustrates the player. (Te vs Ti?)

The next question is, how does Judicious vs Decisive manifest in game design? Perhaps World of Warcraft is inherently Gamma, since it has that design safety (11 million subscriptions says something) but is constantly alive and evolving.

In general, I'd say "good design" is a very Te value. It's certainly something that my LSE tutor (who was also a design and tech teacher) used to espouse.

Ah, I see. Well, I quite like it.

I have a question, if any Delta's care to answer, about whether you see yourself as a shallow individual. As in, are you satisfied with just knowing the superficial aspect of an entity, or do you like to dig deeper? Do people accuse you of being too 'light'?

Oh, I'm not sure if I make any sense.
    Ceci n'est pas une eii.

I've been accused of being shallow and of being too intense. So um. I don't know. All of the above?
