Well I am back. How's everyone? Don't have as much time now, but glad to see some of the old gang are still here.

INTj: -Ti: abstraction, generality, universality, system, classification, typology, general laws, objectivity, true, validity, analysis, logic of a science, criteria.

ISTj: +Ti: Reality, detail, detailed study, carefulness, severity, place in hierarchies, laws, decisions, instructions, a choice of the best variant, logic of organization.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

What is the difference though in the way the function works, those are byproducts

Those are the only distinct differences, as far as I know.

OK, what would be the distinction between Ti in ESTP and ENTP

My guess is that Ti of ESTP's delves deeply into realistic matters and the Ti of ENTP's delve deeply into theoretical matters. Since, secondary functions act upon the primary dominant function.

I'm critical of these "aspects" of the functions simply because they could be explained without such a contrivance of the theory by merely noting it as a manifestatino of the information metabolism of a particular type.

Thats what functions are, manifestations of the particular type, but they are different from type to type.

What I mean is that one need not posit some sort of aspect in order to explain the differences between the particular functioning of a particular functions between two distinct types, such as the differences in how Ti functions between an INTj and ISTj.

Ok, so how would you explain it

True, but it's just one more way to categorize things. And socionists seem to like categorizing/characterizing things, wouldn't you say?

Transigent said exactly what I said in an expounded form. :/

You have to use more words to express yourself, not necessarily to change your style. And so you can be sure the way you envision things is understood by others as well. That's probably the best thing I've learned on this forum.

I noticed that we talk many times about the same things to the degree that we do not remeber any more who said exactly what. And it may well be some sort of subcouncious learning. For example, somebody said something I could hardly understand but then you come to the ideas which you may perceive as your own while somebody already have said it or mentioned it in a different form. Well, thanks to all who helps me directly and indirectly to understand more about socionics.

Thanks, that also relates to all other types. Fe from an ENFj is different from Fe from an ESFj. Since the two functions blend to become a whole so it's more like FeSi compared to FeNi and those are two different things.
