Default ESIs-ISFjs don't ever seem to be depressed

    I was just wondering this.

Since I know a girl, who's had a lot of trouble in her life (spend most of the time in hospital and is always sick and tired), yet she's never depressed.

Recalling other ESI's that I know, I've never seen or heard about depressions they had. It almost seems as if they are immune to that.

Among all the people I know, only ESIs have ever gone to professional psychologists: they worry too much about things!

ESI's rarely show that they are having emotional problems even though they can be quite sensitive. It has to do with Fe-ignoring. I've read that they feel like expressing that just makes them feel weak. ESIs are troopers. Probably the most emotionally solid of the feeling types, at least outwardly.

The one person I'm sure is ESI has a lot of problems, but you have to pry it out of her.

Since I was four or so, I have suffered from constant existential depression.

One question to all ESIs: most ILEs are almost always in a good, cheerful mood, does this bother you?

Other people's moods have no effect on me, unless it's someone I care about.

Kind of varies, in my experience. Introverts are consistently more depressed than extraverts, though.

...the human race will disappear. Other races will appear and disappear in turn. The sky will become icy and void, pierced by the feeble light of half-dead stars. Which will also disappear. Everything will disappear. And what human beings do is just as free of sense as the free motion of elementary particles. Good, evil, morality, feelings? Pure 'Victorian fictions'.

Same experiences with the ESI's I've known. And when you hit a "mine", they "clam up", so to speak. It's like they'd rather ignore the problems they have instead of facing them.

At first they are concerned with keeping a facade, but for someone observant, it shows. Over time, they just self-destruct. No hope left... their dreams shattered, they resign themselves to a life of self-abasement and contempt; believing they don't deserve any better. It's sad.

Yep. What's worse is that it's usually other people -- scumbags, who use and abuse the good-natured ESI's -- who cause them to develop these very bleak and strategically unsound views on life.

Also, what I said is not going to apply to all ESI's: I've met two that fit that "unhealth" description -- I've met others that don't .

One ESI I know don't seem to handle a lot of negativity well.
He's ESI E6, and he definitely prefers positive people. Gets 'depressed' if people talk about how bad things are all the time.
Posts I wrote in the past contain less nuance.
If you're in this forum to learn something, be careful. Lots of misplaced toxicity.

~an extraverted consciousness is unable to believe in invisible forces.
~a certain mysterious power that may prove terribly fascinating to the extraverted man, for it touches his unconscious.
