    Default Mini "test"

I'll give the result after a few people post their response...please announce your type if its not already in your signature!

Say the first thing that pops into
your head when you read the question.
It will work best if you don't hesitate or
agonize over your choice of words.
There is no right or wrong answer so relax
and say whatever springs to mind.

    Under a Clear Blue Sky

Imagine a clear blue sky without
a cloud in sight. Just thinking about
it should give your spirits a little lift.
Now turn your mind's eye down to
survey the landscape. Which of the
following scenes feels most calming and relaxing to you?

    1. A white snowy plain
    2. A blue seascape
    3. A green mountain
    4. A field of yellow flowers

Hard to choose, but I'd go with #2.

    Green Mountain!

More calming than any of those would be green fields and low rolling hills stretching out for miles.

Yes. This. I was hoping to see this in the answers, and was disappointed it was not. It was the scene I naturally thought of before I saw the choices. Except I had some trees in the landscape.

The scene I thought of before seeing the options was just muddy earth. I chose 2 because the others would have been more alarming...as it is, seeing a field of yellow flowers just like that would be somewhat alarming to me to begin with.

For me it would be a mixture of 1 and 3, like in this vid. Then 2, which I tend to mentally see as purple (like in Solaris), not exactly sure why, and lastly 4 which seems kind of cheesy to me (and I would prefer that the flowers were tulips). Why isn't a desert an option :/?

I would go with 3. because it sounds the most comfortable option to lie down on .. though it's still a bit too inaccessible for my liking. Yellow flowers .. yeah, except I'd imagine there would be bees and such hanging around.. and I'd feel a bit bad flattening a whole section of flowers. What first springs to mind as a peaceful option is flat grassland as far as the eye can see.

I imagined a complex snowy landscape with forests, mountains, and rivers.

The sea pisses me off. Too empty, deep, and repetitive.

    Either 1 or 3.
Not a rule, just a trend.

IEI. Probably Fe subtype. Pretty sure I'm E4, sexual instinctual type, fairly confident that I'm a 3 wing now, so: IEI-Fe E4w3 sx/so. Considering 3w4 now, but pretty sure that 4 fits the best.

Imagine a clear blue sky without a cloud in sight. Just thinking about it should give your spirits a little lift. Now turn your minds eye down to survey the landscape. Which of these scenes feels most calm and relaxing to you?

    1. a white snowy plain

    2. a blue seascape

    3. A green mountain

    4. A field of yellow flowers.

Tell me what you picked and I will tell you what the book says it means. ;-)

    RESULTS:

The color blue has power to soothe the soul. Even a blue image in the mind can slow the pulse and make you take a deep breath. Other colors have significance too. The scene you pictured contrasted against that clear blue sky reveals a hidden talent that resides in the depths of your untroubled mind.

    1. A white snowy plain You are blessed with a special sensitivity that allows you to comprehend situations at a glance and decipher complex problems without needing any proof or explanation. You have what it takes to be a clear-sighted decision maker and even something of a visionary. Always trust your first intuititions; they will guide you well.

    2. A blue seascape. You have a natural talent for interpersonal relations. People repect your ability to communicate with others and the way you help bring diverse groups together. Just by being around, you help others work more smoothly and efficiently, making you an invaluable member of any project or team. When you say "Nice job, keep up the good work" people know you mean it. So it means much more to them.

    3. A green mountain. Your gift is for expressive communications. You always seem to be able to find the words to express the way you feel, and peole soon realize it's exactly how they were feeling too. They say that joy shared is multiplied while shared grief is divided. You always seem to help others find the right side of the equation.

    4. A field of yellow flowers. You are a storehouse of knowledge and creativity, bursting with ideas and almost infinite potential. Keep attuned to the feeling of others and never stop working on building your dreams, and there is nothing you cannot achieve.

    well 2 & 3 def don't work for me.

I guess in some lame way you could say:

    1. Ni
    2. Fi/Fe?
    3. Fe/Fi?
    4. Ne

Looking at the descriptions, 4 fits me better, then 1, then 2, then 3.

Hmm, interesting. I tallied the answers and I wasn't able to figure out any significant patterns... except perhaps a slight preference for Nr.4 among Delta, Nr.2 for beta, Nr.3 for Gamma (or maybe just Fi), and Nr.1 for Ni egos. I feel that this test has potential, but it would have to be construed in a more scientific manner, and with more options.

yeah I agree archon, it was a lame attempt at connecting socionics to other psychology tools. I choose 1 as my top pick and then 3. 2 and 4 were repulsive somehow.

I disagree, so far only egos have chosen 4

You are a storehouse of knowledge ( unconscious) and creativity, bursting with ideas ( conscious) and almost infinite potential.
    -
sounds like ego / id, but I guess you could interpret it as ego / id if you ignore the judging aspects of knowledge, creativity, ideas, and potential

Keep attuned to the feeling of others ( accepting) and never stop working on building your dreams, and there is nothing you cannot achieve ( creative).
    - sounds like something an EIE would say...
