Default SLIs-ISTps how do you behave when you're sick?

My husband likes to be babied a bit when he's sick. He makes these woeful noises and likes me to go in and make sure he has everything he needs and offer to get him some water or cough drops.

Is this common for SLIs? It seems odd because usually he acts very responsible and self contained, but then when he's sick he acts like a little kid or something.

All of a sudden, he's acting all dramatic. I'm not sure just what to make of it. He'll make some sad uncomfortable sound, and so I'll go check on him, and he'll say, "oooooooooooooooooooooh I'm all right, I guess." And I'll turn to go and he'll say, in this weird little boyish voice (and he's a baritone), "Honey? Do you think you could get me some more water please?" and throw in this sad little cough.

I mean where did all this theatrical stuff come from?

Aw, he wants attention! ISTps can get clingy when they don't feel well. How adorable!

Hmm, can't say my brother acts this way when he's sick. He doesn't like people to know when he is, and just gets grumpy. Knowing how attentive IEEs usually are with the people they care about, you've probably spoiled him .

I get grumpy and melodramatic, but both of those make me want to be left the fuck alone.

I've been sick on and off for the past several weeks, and last Saturday I practically pushed my SO out the door to go to the bar. "GO! HAVE FUN! I WILL BE HERE RANTING AND RAVING AND MOANING PITIFULLY WHERE YOU DON'T HAVE TO SEE ME DOING IT!"

I even slept on the couch a few nights because I didn't want to wake him up groaning out loud when I was miserably tossing and turning.

Alternately, when I first fell ill, we were flying back home, and in the layover airport, we had a minor disagreement that completely unhinged me. I actually sat down without telling him and just stayed put until he finally noticed I was missing and came to look for me. I was terribly embarrassed, knowing I was overreacting, but I was too tired to be more mature about it.

Luckily my SO's reaction to the sitting-down and the pushing-out-the-door episodes was to be amused about it.

I'm the biggest baby when I get sick. I revert back to a six year old who needs their mother...she still loves pampering me

I just use it as a reason to slack off more than I already do.
