Your conflictor turns you on?

This is an idea that I came across while browsing the forum. I've also read that duality is actually kind of boring. Is there any truth to this?

Duality isn't boring, but conflictors are kind of hot.

Duality is balancing. Makes whatever inner tension any type has disappear.

Conflictors are intriguing. Their ideas and reasoning seem promising. But then the shit hits the fan, and the disappointment is kind of harsh.

Thank you, this clears things up a great deal. The thing is that I can imagine a person meeting somebody that evokes strong feelings in him/her, and thinking that it is their dual, and they are in fact their conflictor. They think, "hey, this is strong! this is special! this must be it!" -- and it turns out it is not.

My theory is that it actually works both ways based on your life experience/preconceptions/whatever. What I mean is that you can see a conflictor and think "wow, so cool they're like my dual" and then it goes to crap, or you can see a dual and think "ugh, they suck, they're like my conflictor" but later it gradually gets better and better.

But that's just my opinion!

I do not find ISFj's intriguing or hot. They are bland, dull, and without any spark of life from my perspective.
