How to spot an INFP female?
She always looks fragile and sophisticated. She spends a lot on clothes, adores beautiful things. Her understanding of fashion comes spontaneously – it’s a mix of trends, advice from girlfriends and whatever she feels like at the moment. She often has her clothing custom made and the things she buys she changes them so that they are beyond recognition (leaving the sewing and such for mother or girlfriends). Through all her life she prefers light colors: beige, pink. She understands the harmony of colors. She believes in her sense of fashion and she has the right to do so. Likes walks, travelling and noisy crowds where she usually sits and looks upset. Doesn’t leave home with a dreamy smile on her face that is humble and inviting at the same time.
She has a unique antelope behavior – ready to be the pray in any time, only if the hunter is worthy of her.
How to befriend her and talk to her.
It’s easy to meet her; she’s always ready to talk. Looks are not important to her, but she is moved by content and perspective of the other half. Self-confident sporty type young people annoy her and seem repulsing. She is dazzled by a „true man“, full of „inner power“. With her deceptive helplessness she calls for a protective behavior in the partner, the need to save her from all the bad things in the world. Instead of sexual intimacy the man finds himself in private conversations about the past long gone, big true loves of time. (Jesus! An introvert can be talkative)
Her dream substance is a person who makes all her wishes comes true. But she single-mindedly refuses to acknowledge that such a person does not exist in real life, that’s why she switches her ideals to new and new persons. Not to lose the romance, she often avoids physical contact with the current idol, preferring to make them up in her mind. Her opinion about people (you included) can change radically in a short period of time. She isn’t acting, that’s her life...
Working.
Even though she fails, she tries out new occupations, even business that’s not advised for her. The reasons why she fails are simple: fear of responsibility and incapability to see real life. While starting a new job she tries to find somebody to help her, to give them part of responsibilities or decision making she has to deal with. All her life she believes in lucky coincidences, things unknown. But don’t underestimate her capability to achieve a goal she set for herself. She can work hard to escape hardships – bad living conditions, nasty family life.
She is made for creative (often writing) jobs: editor, translator, PR, journalist. Plus she fears to disappoint her boss who makes her feel she is important. She adopts well in life, has a mystic charm that makes even the most penny – pinching bosses give her a raise, ticket constructors let her go with a warning and salespeople sell her things with discount.
INFP as a wife.
Her goal is long-lasting relationships, and it really looks as if she’s trying to make it work. She treats the family budget with care. If a stranger is spending money on her, she can perform „shopaholic miracles“, but if the person becomes his husband she changes totally – every cent is under control. Her home can be described as an artistic mess: books all over the place, piles of pantyhose and accessories which usually consist of a lot of junk- memories of places, situations and mainly persons from „her past“.
Like a passionate smoker who tries to quit, she becomes the perfect wife on every Monday. But she’s consistently tortured by inner conflicts. There’s a cycle of missed opportunities (she blames her husband for these) and at the same time she dreams about the things yet to come, starting from new curtains and ending with meeting a „fascinating individual“. From time to time these things come up in family scenes, when this adorable creature becomes unpredictable and resourceful, vicious and evil. It’s impossible win an argument with her because she’s ready for whatever trick and easily say contradicting things to what she said a minute ago.
In bed.
To seduce a married INFP into adultery is impossible – you don’t have the time or the strength. She is a dream for every romantic man who likes to conquer something valuable. (Although you could just take her hand into you hand and go get lost). She likes to dominate due to the fact that the sight of a man „laid down before/under“ her gives pleasure. She’s not always in the present moment. While talking she’s open and maybe even a little bit cynical. During the most intimate affections she can monitor the tapestry and discuss over abstract subjects (like socionics). And suddenly she’s ready for refined sexual etude, not to experience something new but to:
1) be left alone
2) to prove herself once again that there’s nothing interesting about it
Traditional fraise to a puzzled partner: „If I fall in love...“ Nevertheless, tomorrow you may become a happy owner of a poem dedicated to you, a poem so good and sincere.
Breakup.
She has many complexes if there are signs of a divorce in a relationship, even if she’s the one who wanted it. She makes you feel guilty – like you’re responsible for the one you „tamed“. You have to be prepared and not give in to the tears, blaming and long explanations. It doesn’t matter if that makes you feel as the biggest douche bag, be patient and show her that you have seen through all her tricks. To make her lose interest you have to stop supporting her in her everyday life and in the future. She will change her attitude towards you radically (be prepared to be insulted, laughed at) but at once, you will have your freedom.
And you still regret the decision a little bit...
