Default cyclops' type: SLI and LII

I'm not quite sure how to word this question.

For some reason or other, I find myself in a position of wondering wether I am SLI or LII. I find myself thinking it is strange to be in this position, it seems most people wouldn't be sure of say their mirror typing or maybe SXI or that sort of thing. SLI and LII seems like a big difference!

I wonder if SLI's and LII's can seem similar?

Is there any indications or suggestions do you think that I could look at to help me decide?

Strange as it may sound, I am not sure whether I fit the IJ or the IP temperament!

    Don't have a hard time.

They can seem similar because si-istps and ne-intjs are comfort oriented and te-istps and ti-intjs are a little bit harsh

However, ISTps can "provide" themselves with comfort and INTjs "want" others to "provide" them with comfort

INTjs may be harsh but they love when people engage them. ISTps don't mind working alone
    ILE "Searcher"

    DCNH: Dominant --> perhaps Normalizing

MBTI: ENTJ "Field Marshall" or ENTP "Inventor"
    Astrological sign: Aquarius

All these simple ways of defining the differences in the types, seems rather arbitrary. Would an SLI not at times like to be engaged by, lets say, an IEE? One could say, WELL in general an LII would like to be engaged all the time, but then you are insinuating something more are you not? So obviously there is some underlying reason that the LII like the engagement, and not just because it gives him his valued functions, we do not operate strickly along the lines of one function at a time.

If you have a rationale for that it would be cool to here it.

You can even pm me if you like/prefer.

Random info: i'm not particularly bothered about "announcing" my type for now. I could ramble...ramble..ramble in general. It is just my understanding, and many others, of the IM metabolism, types, and among many other things, and perhaps myself in a way also, that LII makes sense for me now. If it turned out I was SLI after all, then that would be fine.

I do think that LII works more for me overall, I can't see anything wrong with it, and i've tried to evaluate everything as fairly as I can. It is in a way, only type after all.

An I'd still listen to what yourself or anyone has to say.

Well, you will know better than I, but you sure do write things that sound about right to me.

Only in a very superficial way. They're the only two types in the socion that can create the impression of acheiving disproportionally much with the amount of effort they put into things. They will typically lie in wait for great lengths of time and suddenly emerge to solve a series of problems with a minimal amount of strain. Only ISTp and INTj are like this (the dichotomies Result, Introvert and Reasonable make for this effect).

Like I said, though, the effect is superficial and pales in comparison to the differences in Club and Temperament between the two.

For the record, you have never in any way come across as an INTj to me.

I get more of EP vibe from Cyclops - he's a big picture kind of guy.

I am reminded of my first argument with him when he thought mining tritium on Moon was a good idea, but didn't seem very impressed by the logistical nightmare the operation presented from the technology required, to exploration, to production and engineering, to the economics itself. Diamond mines can consume $2 billion before a single diamond is processed - I cannot fathom the capital that would be spent on a lunar mining operation, nor the small odds of any company being able to raise that capital. ...not when we haven't even reached peak oil and nuclear breeder reactors are a possibility.

...not that I want to get into that argument again (no, I'm serious). The point is that the idea took precendence over the practicals which, to me, intuitively seems to indicate a type other than SLI.

Between ISTp and INTj, it's ISTp. Not a doubt on my mind.
