    Default Delta or Alpha?

    Today, the flowers bloomed!
    A small, pure white flowers
In the pot on the veranda
The one you bought for me out of the blue
Even though I forgot what it was called just afterwards
Every morning, I took time to water it
So now, this cute little flower has bloomed

There's a new litter of puppies!
The person next door was keeping secretly
A beagle, which had five little pups
They're so cute, now I want to get one myself
Let's go together, and see them next Saturday!

    Let's all sing a song
From my lips comes a haphazard melody
A song that nobody else knows
When I think about how much I like you...

My big brother called to tell me his kid learned to ride a bicycle

    Let's all sing a song
A song that I've created, a haphazard melody
A song just for you -- Let's sing it!

Just as yesterday and today were a little different
Tomorrow and today will bring about a new little change

It's getting better all the time

    The song, I mean.

As for the series: the plot is that there's three girls who inherited this library in the middle of nowhere that obviously nobody visits, but all these magical miracle things happen (like the library getting visitors). Kokoro (the one with the red outfit) is training to be a librarian. Nothing bad ever happens in the series, and everyone is nice, even a band of bikies. Androids figure in at some stage, and a sick girl who wants to see dolphins!

I lean towards Alpha, but I have it in my head that Delta is more inclined toward mixed elements of magic and reality (like Stargate). Without giving spoilers, the focus seems to be that Kokoro has the ability to unite people. I'm not sure if that counts as Fi?

    Alpha.

Also I think shows like these are extremely unhealthy for children. Me and my sister were talking about this the other day. Overly-idealized, nothing bad happens. That is NOT real life and if kids watch this nonsense it seems like it will rot their brain. Most shows don't have the balls to be negative, writers don't realize that people tend to grow the most through adversity not walking in a field of butterflies.

That said, by 'adversity' I don't mean you always have to pit characters in a hospital setting or detective work or things like that. To me that's almost too harsh and hectic. Like they don't have the time to reflect, it's too plot heavy. I prefer shows where characters can develop a deep inner world.

Most parents, especially middle-class white people, shelter their kids from the harsh realities of life and living. Instead of teaching them how the world is really run, and providing skills that are actually useful- like psychological awakening techniques, they buy them video games and DVDs. We're all distracted by a bunch of beautiful nonsense and anime cartoons and gonzo porn penises while people do horrible things to real human beings in the real world.

But eh whatever, I'm just ranting. It's a cute show I guess. *shrug*

    Oh?

At any rate, an additional question: what is too fantastic for Delta? Too realistic for Alpha?

Gul, you are an SEI. Suck it up and go back already; you can't use IEE as an excuse to have Ne and still be "ethical." Just ignore those Ashtonian faggots and their jabber about being random and shit indicating Ne; you are Fe to the fucking core, and anyone who knows Socionics can see it.

After all, you're practically a Kamangir clone in terms of behavior. What doesn't work about SEI for you?
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

On this point: I actually agree. People will never know how to get good things for themselves if they never experience being without those good things. Example: A person who has been with their dual their whole life will have no idea how to respond to sudden adversity. A person who has been with their dual off and on will know how to look for their dual when they need help.

A person who has never met their dual will be generally helpless and miserable, so as you state in a later paragraph, there's a limit to how much negativity is good - but a certain amount can help a person to understand where the problems come from and how to stop them. (I am not suggesting that we be mean to our duals to show them what negativity is!)

@Gul/Gilly: I noted in a recent thread that randomness in action is more related to than to .

Nothing is. No quadra values fantasy or realism more than another - however, Alpha believes that emotions require more attention than practical matters do, and Delta believes that practical matters require more attention than emotions do. (By "attention" I mean dynamic treatment, as in monitoring them; it's the other way around in terms of how much effort is required to make progress).

Fantasy/realism would actually have more to do with intuition/sensing, which Alpha and Delta are basically the same in terms of.
