Default Have you met this type before?!

I know two people like this:

    * So charismatic, but not falsely so, they can draw so many people in, they have lots of friends and aquaintances
    * Very open with their lives
    * Know everything about the lives of others
    * Have a very good sense of humour
    * Happily tell people there opinions of others (usually behind their backs to other friends, or also possibily to themselves)
    * Seem very, "I said this to them.."
    * Don't seem overly harsh however assertive they are with their opinions / thoughts on others, and cry the odd times
    * Seem quite warm, but not soft...

    Any ideas?!
    ENTp... love it

    ESE sounds right.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

I considered this too. It could probably go either way, but I was swayed by the masses *shame*

I'd say it's most prominently related to enneagram 2/3 (2w3s and 3w2s). However, the most common sociotype for these e-types is ESFj, and the description reminds me a good deal of my Si-ESFj 2w1 mother. The 2 motivation can be seen in the insincere reaching out and prioritizing of others' lives over one's own; the 3 aspect manifests in the subtle edge of competitiveness and image-manipulation apparent there. An ego with these motivations is much more likely to treat the social life as their interactive playground, and an EJ is much more inclined towards directing things than is an IP. So... ESFj, with a more distant possibility of ENFj (any subtype for the former, Fe-sub for the latter).

I don't think ESFps are like that at all tbh. The stereotypes about them being these incredible social manipulators who build and mobilize different interpersonal connections at will, are pretty distorted IMO. egos on the whole don't seem anywhere near as aware of these emotionally-interactive nuances as do egos (although delta NFs have a silently cunning way of "building and maintaining" relationships) — especially gamma SFs, who are more inclined towards directness and stability with others.

But again, image-triad motivations are important facets here.

    Thanks for your responses guys!

For some reason I hadn't thought of ESE, but now thinking of it, the excitement and energy of spending time in their company, I talk fast, and feel fully activated. Makes sense, cheers x

    ESE

They always seem very trusting of people and confident, able to get the information they need quite easily, most of them I know are genuine and honest.
