    Default Hank Hill

What is his type considering that he is a real person that we all meet one day or another after consuming a truckload of drugs:

Here is a pic for V.I. It's very hard to tell, but you can tell by the width of the nose and the length of the square jaw that he is definitely an ISTj. Closer analysis indicates that his worried eyes indicate that he predicts doom for the future. Case closed fuckers!

Damn, I was actually going to make a thread like that thinking it was an original idea.

    Default Hank Hill -Texas LSE

If you went to Texas and wanted to know what a local LSE would look like, here you go:

Not flattering in comparison to myself, but, I will not deny that such are LSE tendencies.

I'm like the new age version of Hank Hill. I'm not from Texas, of course. But if you understand the socionics mechanisms and apply them to my situation, you would sort of get who I am.

Hank is almost exactly like one of my older relatives (LSE). I'm a lot more modern, but I have a massive "old fashioned" streak to me, I suppose. Although, of course, I am opened to studying things like socionics of course.

I get what your saying. The culture your in helps you absord different values and such, but your way of functioning is similar.

I've found the Hank Hill character interesting and boring at the same time. Interesting because there are some qualities about him that I can see in myself, boring because those qualities that are different are the ones that make his personality more linear and less lively then my own.

It's like if I were more like him, I'd be unhappy with the boringness, but at the same time, I like to observe his behavior.

((For myself, though, I don't have a local culture to really say "this is where I'm from" - it is weird, because there was an unusual dialogue about this at an Identity workshop.... I'll get into it at some other time))

That is not really what this thread is getting at....

The show, directly, is a humorously (and somewhat negative) portrayal of a Texas average joe. It would be like saying Homer Simpson is your dual - of course its not going to be appealing.

Would you say I am exactly like Hank, RC?

And, do you see me as an LSE?

You know Mayflow? Hmm.... I wonder if I should give you my condolences. Can't say I know much about him, or is it her, or.... that individual person/entity.

Honestly, Mayflow has never done anything wrong to me - I must say that. He in no way abused me or bothered me, ever. On one (other) forum, he seemed to not get along well with some other people, and they interpreted it as him forcing his beliefs on them ( I believe), and things kind of escalated at times. That forum was also very.... faction - orientated, and Mayflow was an easy target to be on the outside, a trouble maker, etc. But that is just superficial observances. Honestly, I do not know much about Mayflow or the situation, and I do not frequent his forum any longer, if it still exists. The other forum where I met Mayflow, I barely go there any more either. So, I am somewhat detached from the situation now. I just remember there was a great deal of contention about things (for a while at least), and Mayflow bashing was a common occurrence, yes, as you say.

"Whatever you do, you should do right - even if it's something wrong"

    [hr:f5aef51aad][hr:f5aef51aad][hr:f5aef51aad]

Translation for people who don't know the show:

-"...local man cancels newspaper subscription" (Aristocratic, LSE sees supporting graffiti artists as supporting ruffians, trouble makers)
-"Come here - I'm gonna kick your ass!" (ST)
-"But my lawn, Dale, you don't mess with a man's lawn!" - Si creative. Hank is very picky and selective about keeping his lawn in perfect condition. It is extremely disturbing to have someone mess with an LSE's hard work, distort its efforts for beauty

-The whole drug scenario - in this case, Hank is extremely naive about drugs, which shows his extreme take on integrity and getting intoxicated (remind you of me yet?). You can see how he overreacts completely to taking one hit of his drug. He fears it will make him less credible at work, lose his job, do harm to his family, and destroy all he stands for in his reputation for good work and decency. Hank freaks out, obviously, but I think it can show why LSE's can be hardasses about certain things like this.
--It even has weak Ni, which particularly goes out the window when an LSE is stressed or in a hurry "Oh no! Debbie's hippy roommate turned me in for smoking narcotics!!"

-"What kind of nationality are you!" - a common type LSE criticism. LSE's can take great pride in their country or locality.

-"I've got the strangest feeling someone's going to kick his ass" (LSE - family protection)
--"I didn't bring my family here to be yelled at."
