    Default Stereotypes!

What are the stereotypes about your type that are true in relation to you?

I'm boss at selling things. Literally. I could sell lava to Eskimos.

I'm a little bit obsessed with death (tho not many people know this). Er, maybe that's more a stereotype of enneagram 4? I dunno.

I've been called weird so many times it makes even the INTjs cry. Half the people I know are afraid to go out in public with me.

Maybe that's not a stereotypical ILI trait, but it's stereotypical of me.

I let other people do the talking and observation, and I just edit what they say. Sometimes I just go along with what they say to see if it poses any merit. I'm also not good at paying attention, multitasking, etc. so that all translates to socially awkward. And it's not necessarily "awkward" as much as it is incomprehensible and lacking in verbally external thought.

What I'm saying isn't necessarily a stereotype anyway. I'm just trying to see if anyone else agrees so that it may become one. I don't think I'm always socially incomprehensible, for instance around family, good friends, quadra members, I am known to display good humor and input unexpected jokes. I have even been known to ramble once in a while, to where I instantly shut up when given facial cues, but I usually am quite mute. Ah, enough about me.

You look extremely similar to an LII ex I once had. Interesting. Needless to say, that relationship was a total farce

To the topic at hand -- I'm the most idealistic, romantic son of a gun you'll ever meet. Writes poetry. Daydreams. Listens to 'indie'/hipster music. Likes having pseudo-philosophical conversations at night, under the stars. All that bs.

FINALLY! I start this thread with the sole propose of getting some one to ask that. now *cracks knuckles* So glad you asked.

Being as witty and clever as i am, I've decided that i am indeed better than the old adage "Selling ice to Eskimos" implies and thusly I needed a new old adage. It took me a bit to come up with something that would be harder than selling ice to Eskimos, but in the end. I decided that selling Lava to Eskimos would be much harder. Here are the pro's and con's of each.

    ICE-pro
Used for building materials, could actually sell an Eskimo a New house.
When melted creates water, an essential life necessity.

    ICE-con
    It's everywhere!

    Lava-pro
Could possibly be used to build a new type of house when it solidifies (the house however would be very porous and I think be less insulated than a Igloo)

    Lava-con
    MELTS THEIR HOMES!
    MELTS THEM
    SMELLS LIKE SULFUR (Rotten Eggs)

Now looking at that list I'm sure that you have realized that selling Lava to Eskimos would be much harder. I however, could do it. And that's why i say i could sell Lava to Eskimos, because Selling Ice to them would be far to easy for some one of my caliber. *brushes dirt off his shoulder*

Ice is most difficult to sell to them. They have no shortage of that. Anyways, good luck with your new business :-)

I'm good at organizing and sometimes do it for fun.
    I love lists.
    I'm a grammar nut.
I rather enjoy the constant use of needless large words.
I make too much of little things if they appeal to my unusual sense of humor.
I plan out everything before I do it (including how to phrase what I'm typing).
    I have trouble being sympathetic.
    I'm somewhat a control freak.
I kept retyping "freak" different ways until I found a way that looked correct.

    • I am able to finish off anyone's sentence before he/she completes them (Bad habit, I know.)
    • I enjoy chilling out and listening to jazz, rock and instrumental music.
    • I am good at coming up with new ideas, but bad in following through.
    • I dislike doing housework and tend to delay doing it, hoping that someone will take charge of it. This applies to all unpleasant stimuli.
    • In a work situation, I am prone to overwork at times. =(
    • I may not be very intellectual (eg. good in theoretical subjects), but I am observant and astute in finding trends and patterns.
    • My career is related to the field of Human Resource.
    • I am always on a lookout for something better to reach my potential, but I tend to hesitate in taking action and prefer to think before I leap just in case I made the wrong judgement.

Actually, I meant that the entire word could be eliminated without harming the overall sentence structure, not that I unnecessarily lengthened a word.

I can master any technical or scientific field I make a point of mastering, faster than almost anyone else I know.

Sometimes, I join (or start to work for) companies not knowing much of what they do.

In 6 months, I will be listened to by most of their experienced people.

In 2 years, I leave them all in the dust, sort of as I make things up as I go along.
