Thread: Gul as ESE

    Default Gul as ESE

"You're not manic enough for EJ. You're SEI." - Vero (when she doesn't think I'm ILE)
"You're too manic for SEI. I think ESE is a nice fit." - JRiddy (no doubt trying to gently push me towards ILE)
"LII seems like a better dual for you." - Isha (cowering in supervisee fear) (also, I would agree with this)

    Forts?

Right at this very moment, I honestly have no idea what type I am.

Largely, I think I have way too much friction with ILEs for them to be my duals.

I identify quite well with Delta as well, though. Other people just insist that I'm Alpha, and that's unanimous, so I don't bother questioning that.

As for ILE, I haven't even bothered putting thought into that yet. I just really have trouble seeing myself as a Logical type.

Oh, and fire your opinions away. I did ask for them

    Wheee!

Anyway, the question is, which NF? We have Mikemex representing the IEE-Angry subtype, and glam possibly representing the happy, but obviously martian IEI.

    EDIT

    And strrrng. Just strrrng.

I'm also not ruling out EIE-Nerd Gilly subtype.

    Impossible.

I need solid logical boundaries for my identity. They're like a safe, warm place.

Right now my house just had spontaneous existence failure.

I know it's a shitty indicator, but I've never seen SEIs or ESEs act so manic over figuring out their type/who they are. that could say something.

I think that's a pretty good indicator, actually.

Though to be fair, this all started due to Typical Childhood Trauma(tm).

    Further thoughts:

Actually, I like Alpha. Right now I'm not able even to make a convincing case for being a human being.

    MORE EDIT

I'd prefer to stick with Alpha/Delta. I think I'm more on the NeSi bandwidth than the SeNi bandwidth.

    EVEN MORE EDIT

And I also really don't think I'm Delta.

I just remembered Carla existed... I'm Alpha.

I temporarily don't want to budge on that.

For fuck sake Gul, you're Ne-ENTp. Just accept it.

"His feeling that this world is not his Fatherland, and that it does not represent his proper condition, so to speak—his feeling that, basically, he 'comes from afar'—will remain a fundamental element which will not give rise to mystical escapism and spiritual weakness, but rather will enable him to minimise, to relativise, to refer to higher concepts of measure and limit, all that can seem important and definitive to others, starting with death itself, and will confer on him calm force and breadth of vision." — Julius Evola

I am coming to Sigma with you, eliminating your "sole inhabitant" status. I will not leave until you stop this madness.

Actually, it is my honest opinion that I am still very much an -PoLR hero.

Typing soley with my helpful bag of highly accurate stereotypes, your zany, off-the-wall, christopher lloyd-mad scientist persona, which you appear to embody quite effortlessly or just by virtue of being yourself, absolutely precludes the possibility of you being anything other than ILE, intuitive subtype.

    Where are your videos?

    Interesting analysis.

    But!

I said that because I've made IEI Gul threads in the past, and everyone was all like "Lol, no, you're Alpha." I was commenting on how it seems futile to try, because "everyone" doesn't want me in their quadra.

I'd attribute the "everyone" thing to my inability to count past three or four before Ethics goes "screw it, impression time."

I could blame that on wanting people to tell me how weird I am (Ne DS), but I'd be lying, since it's not really even an act any more.

Alright, coherent thought just got killed by my sleeping tablets. G'night.

Gul you're ENTp imo Ti ENTp, but maybe Ne sub

you're also 3w2 (maybe 4, you seem a bit less serious to be so, but idk), so basically you're a Gilly.

obvious 3w? "let me dance around trying different types on being quite concerned with how people see me" ENTp is obvious.

My opinion: I'm hopeless at typing myself. I should let other people do it!

And, well, "anywhere" is moot. The only thing I lose by not having a type is large amounts of self-security. And also sleep, because I keep refreshing this thread to check for replies.

Gul, I get the impression you are ENTp. Some of the posts you've made have also suggested to me a good understanding, or rather, use of, Ti.

Whatever type you are, I think you're a cool guy!

Yes, but it's a Niney problem of not associating with my ego complex as The Real Slim Shady.

The whole motivation of Threes is not wanting to be a loser, so they work so hard to run from that that they completely disconnect from the real them.

I think. That's what makes sense to me.

Long story short, not having a defined identity brings back old nightmares. So, you know.

At the moment, that would be socionics.

Though, a recurring theme seems to be constant wangsting at being ignored/rejected/unable to talk to Girl of the Year (funny, it generally works in year-long movements). Umm, not sure if that counts as an interest, but it does have the "completely takes over my mind" factor.

Oh, and maths and physics (but I don't do physics in school).

I would also say socionics is the result of my more general interest with psychology and fascination with people (and with people, more specifically, how they interact, so I guess sociology > psychology (but again, the individual minds and how they dys/function still does interest me)).

I also need to listen to music. It's like water for me. Is listening to music an interest?

Also, I like stealing attractive pieces of different philosophies and religions. I suppose that makes me an eclecticist.

    EDIT

Later thought: and just generally any sort of structured thinking. Physics is great because I can see it, and just about everything that ever happens ever gives me more food for thought. I'd also like to comment that these are like cosmic background radiation, they're always there on some level. Similarly, there's at least a subconscious niggle saying THE REASON YOU'RE ALONE IS BECAUSE YOU SUCK. GET BETTER.

Also, I like doing things that switch my mind off. It never shuts up. Walks are great, because my eyes are like "Stfu mind, I'm looking at the pretty colours", and my mind is like "...".

Never been diagnosed with anything, nor would I self-diagnose myself with any anxiety disorder. Maybe social phobia, but most of my avoidance is around not liking the overstimulation of large crowds, and not having gotten over my mother's ridiculously paranoid worldview (actually, it was probably applicaple when I was little, and nobody gave me the memo saying "It's outdated now that you're fairly big and visibly not a small, defenseless child"), rather than fear of being embarrassed.

But I would say I can get particularly anxious and high-strung, usually in response to something a few weeks away. It crops up as normal, everything-suddenly-becomes-a-massive-worry-for-no-reason anxiety; ie, never focused on anything.

Normally I cycle between flats and moderate highs, unless something knocks me really far in one direction (which can take between three hours and a week before I go back to my sine curve). Big highs and small lows end quickly. Slow highs can have me on a happy buzz for a week before the grand finale (which usually has me on coffee and frantically mashing my way through DDR Endless); likewise with big lows, which keep me pretty much zombie-like before I start picking up again near the end.
