Depending on the usage of cute and what is qualified as cute I either get annoyed and react by describing how the thing is in fact disgusting (just to be a dick) or if its a hot ISFp telling me I'm cute... I'm a bribed jury.

I hate being called cute too. "Adorable" is just too much. It sounds like something your mom tells you when you're little. I thinks this is more attractive to guys that like women who are more "maternal" I guess?

Being called cute is a nice compliment for me when it happens. For some reason, I almost always feel the need to ask, 'why'? So maybe Azeroffs has a point, because my being tempted to ask is usually a result of Fi, if/how they see me as the person, the person I am, the qualities within that, or Si, if it evolves round that they think I am 'hot', good looking, or something. Of course the first can lead on to the second, depending how we view someone.
I hate when girls say I'm cute. My actions can be cute, but it just bothers the tell out of me when they say I'm cute. Guess what type loves to gush about how cute someone is? Could it be ESEs? I think so. I guess other types do it too, but a lot of ESEs like to. It just makes me feel so insignificant, like I'm a child.x 1000

Have you guys ever heard of the Boy Scout Eagle Award? Well, that's a loaded question, because if you live in the mainstream US, you probably have. It's considered quite an achievement, and is impressive to list on resumes.
I earned the Girl Scout Gold Award, which is the equivalent of the Eagle, but it seems that very few people have heard of it. Knowing how fucking hard I worked for it, I used to put it on my resume, and once I had an interviewer scan the sheet, get to that, and the little fucker actually said "Oh, how cute - you were in the Girl Scouts."
That angered me so much that I took it off my resume. Ever since then, I've noticed I'm prickly about having cute attributed to me in any way, but I'm also finally tired of reacting so strongly (over ten years later ...).
I also think my SO's tendency to learn what my buttons are and playfully push them has led me to a heightened awareness of what those are, and I'm slowly Getting Over It (tm). "Cute" is something he likes to call me and then give "that" look, like he's waiting for me to protest so he can laugh at me. I think he's a little disappointed that it's causing me to further my maturity!

Wow, the contradictory nature of this astounds me.
I don't remember ever really being called cute but once or twice, and it's vomit inducing. It's patronizing, and belittles any sort of conviction you might have tried to communicate.I love it when I do it to other people as long as it doesn't happen to ME

how cute. you're like a play thing. do people pick you up and move you around.I get called cute all the time, probably because I have a slight build and I'm female. It used to irritate me no end, but now it doesn't bother me too much, unless I'm furious and people say, "Oh, how cute! You're angry!" which is highly annoying. Unfortunately my immediate reaction to that is a pout, which doesn't help AT ALL.
I just wanted to add that when I call someone around my age cute, it's like a funny/sexy combliment.

I didn't mean that if you are cute then you're Si/Fi. I meant that calling someone cute may have an Si and/or Fi element to it.
I vote ISFx as the type most likely to use the word cute.
