I don't like the Chaser. It's not a "moral outrage" kind of objection, I just don't find them funny. Most of their jokes are incredibly lame compared to things like the Daily Show. It could be the lack of funding, but I'm sure most people could be a lot funnier with less money. Sometimes they come up with a good idea, but then they milk it and make it go on for far, far too long (Surprise Spruiker was funny the first time, but did they need to do it ten times?). I've heard a lot about this particular sketch, and it seems like everyone has an opinion about it, generally related to free speech vs. decency and values... My dislike of it, however, it that it's FUCKING LAME. It's the kind of thing you throw away as a one-liner to some of your friends, and it's funny and politically incorrect, and you all have a slightly naughty laugh about it... but the Chaser have turned it into a goddamn SKETCH. With a LAUGH TRACK. It goes on for 30 times as long as it should. Ugh. Why do people think it's intelligent comedy?

I had two reactions to the OP:
First reaction: LOL!
Second reaction: Aww, poor kid. That's so mean to get their hopes up like that.
Hey, well I got a real chuckle out of the OP - the part where he pulls out a stick instead of Zac Efron hahahahaha..
Didn't think it was that lame or anything. Actually didn't lol @ the Onion video... I mean I knew it was funny but for some reason it didn't make me actually laugh.
I thought it was lame until he offered the kid a stick. Then I thought it was funny.
