Looks to me that the function you develop the least is the 6th function.

    I don't totally get Model A.

I thought 4th function was the weakest.

4th seems to be the most pain while 6th seems to be least amount of control over manifestation.

I know the fourth is the weakest of the concsious functions.

Pedro makes a good point, it depends what you mean by "weak" exactly.

sidetrack: why is a function that is inhibitive of a person's auxilliary function considered more "painful" than one that is inhibitive of their primary function?

Primary is stong enough to ignore what others think it "should" do. Auxiliary is weaker and not always "on" so it has less power to resist.

Relating to the 4th function (the deal breaker) how many of you perceive that "nature" if you will, supplied you with some sort of counterbalancing function or quality?

Describing the program function: of the ISFJ, Galenko describes the ISFJ as the magnificent physiognomist. Galenko rather poignantly stated that Mother Nature had somehow apologized to the ISFJ for his lack of intuition: by endowing him with this valuable quality.

    Make sense?

I understand that our dual is supposed to provide psychological counterbalancing or supplementation. I would be interested to know if other types perceive the correllation described above.

Its just a distribution of ebing able to deal with 4 key aspects of reality. Matter, Energy, Time and Space. All are equally important. The society is what decides what is more important, whoever depending on conditions. Imagine society as being your brain during an exam. Of course, when the exam is math, you will davalue your feelings, and raise the value of logic. With society conditions change but are on a slower time scale.

@Pearl80 wouldn't that just be making use of ? Or are you saying it is even stronger in the ISFJ than in the ESxP and ISTJ?

My guess is, that 4th function is the weakest of the counciouss functions and the 5th is the weakest of the subconciouss functions. The weaker the function, the more we will need help and that makes sence why the 5th one ise the duality seeking function and the 6th is the hidden agenda- one can do more things by it's own, but still needs the support of it's dual. And that help of course is the help of duals second function, what is switched on after a while.

But all the functions are located into certain blocks. So my guess is, that the 1st and 3rd are always working and the 2nd and 4th are turned on, when needed. If they are not working, then people are healthy and psyche runs normally, if 2nd and 4th are working, person might have some problems with it self, f.e active 2nd block is a sign of depression.
