I'll try to order and explain some of my ideas (YES WE CAN). To me, life is about taking decisions. There are many decisions to take (some of them are related with the present, and some of them can alter the future). Sometimes you take them unconsciously. Some of them are very important, some of them are not.
On the other hand, there are "decisive events" , which you don't control, that can change your life: when they happen...luck matters (we could call it "fate"). Thus, I see life's structure resembles decision trees, like the one on the following pic. As a result, there is a set of infinite scenarios that may take place or may have taken place (Do you remember the movie "Back to the future"?).
How much does your life depend on your decisions and how much on fate?
In a sense, both of them have a 100% weight!
Some of you may remember these Max Payne (fictional character, prolly ego) quotes, which somehow clash with my "world view":
"There are no choices. Nothing but a straight line. The illusion comes afterwards, when you ask 'Why me?' and 'What if?'. When you look back and see the branches, like a pruned bonsai tree, or forked lightning. If you had done something differently, it wouldn't be you. It would be someone else looking back, asking a different set of questions. "
"The trick in my situation was that there was no trick, no matter what the movies tell you. No rules, no secret Mantra, no road map. It wasn't about how smart or how good you were. It was chaos and luck, and anyone who thought different was a fool. All you could do was hang on madly, as long and hard as you could."
From a Socionics point of view, I think mine is nothing but a base mentality. I'd be pleased to read your feedback.
