Thread: !!GUYS!!

  1. #1
    Creepy-male

    Default !!GUYS!!

    I'm Ne-ILE again.

I find it highly unlikely, but does anyone have any objections?

    EDIT

    I'm still a Nine though.

    FURTHER EDIT

Most of the reasons I could use to defend SEI apply to Nine. So, you know. That's why I was confused.

    OH GOD, GIFS.

Anyway, Vero. I need your ILE awesome here. IIRC, you were one of the ones not completely sold on ILE.

    EDIT

I will remain Officially SEI while I'm in Type Limbo until there is a conclusion either way.

No, I was the one who was pretty sure you were Ne-ILE. But I don't believe that you actually believe this and I don't think you'll keep yourself typed as an ILE for long, so I'm not going to take out my party hat just yet

    Depends.

I think my ILE typing largely hinges on mixing in the enneagram. If we ignore that, then it's straight back to SEI.

You and I need to have a LOGIKS session on AIM.

Oh, this was a serious thread. Ashton put forward a pretty convincing case for ILE.

I've tried to offer you logic in the past, but you've stubbornly refused to let me build my case. I don't deny you logic, you simply haven't wanted to listen my logic without interjecting with your own.

Here's how our discussions of your type go:

    Gul: What do you think?
Vero: I think you're this type.
    Gul: Why?
    Vero: Because of these things.
Gul: But why are those things true, what about this? What about this?
Vero: Because the system works like this *starts breaking down the logic*
Gul: But what about these 10 other explanations, why can't it work this way?
Vero: If you'll let me finish what I'm telling you you'll see how it all works together.
Gul: Why do you always avoid my questions?
Vero: I'm not avoiding your question, if you'll let me finish explaining, you'll have your answer.
Gul: But why don't you just answer my question now?
Vero: Because the answer to your question requires some outlining which is explained in what I'm in the middle of trying to explain to you.
Gul: *makes inflammatory comment about how I don't actually know what I'm talking about and I'm still avoiding questions*
Vero: Fuck it then, believe whatever you want. I don't care anymore.

If you want a dialogue, then lets talk about how socionics works instead of what type I think you are. Then we can talk about the theory, you can understand how I understand the theory, and then we can avoid the lecturing part of discussing your type.

    1) Don't mix socionics with enneagram. They are meant to describe you independently, not as a "team." They are not two parts of the same theory, but totally separate theories that should each describe you generally; they may describe different parts of you, but if you have to use them to justify each other, then you are missing something.

2)Ashton's system is different from Socionics; his opinion on your type is not necessarily relevant in determining your Socionics type.

    3) I believe you are SEI-Fe. From your posts here and seeing you on Stickam, it is clear to me that you are an ethical type and value Fe. You also remind me visually of a friend of mine whom I believe to be SEI. Your general attitude, as I think anyone will agree, is very Alpha. My general impression of you is consistent with that of other Fe creatives. You seem interested in the ins and outs of the theory but obviously lack confidence in you own understanding of the theory and where you fit in the mix, which seems typical of the Ti-seeking in Fe types.

If this isnt enough for you, I will be glad to give a more in-depth explanation when I have a computer.

Already knew 1. That's why I discarded ILE after thinking about again.

I agree with 3. Though I'd say I'm Si-SEI by temperament ring (shifts me into Delta over Beta, yeah?)

re: 2, I think I was using normal socionics with Ashton. But I seriously can't remember.

No matter what you were using, he wasnt using Socionics.

Personally I think you make rather blatant use of Fe, and to me it is your most obvious value. Compare to someone like BG is just sort of lives in the atmosphere, is kind of naturally aware of it but isnt really out to affect people very often; he just kind of marinates But you have little outbursts, and you sometimes try to "bolster" the atmosphere without actively "directing" like, say, me or Ashton.

But honestly I can probably only guess as I dont know you incredibly well.

Depends on which function I'm using, I'd say.

Like what Rick said about extraverted introtims and introverted extratims using their creative. There's Crazy Fe Gul and Trance Gul. I don't know if this contradicts any of what you've just said, though.

IRL, I spend most of my time in Si and Ti.

    Good question.

I'd say if there's something to Si in, like a movie or a window or something; that's when I Si and completely switch my mind off.

When those stimuli aren't there, Ti. Like, this morning when I woke up, I heard someone blowing their nose, and thought "That must be because the edges of their nostrils are striking eachother."

I went through some sort of Logiks to get there, but I forgot what it was. Is that Ti? That's what I mean when I say Ti.
