NTR. I don't like the "emo crap" those "younguns" listen to; but likewise, I think I'm part of the small pocket of chair-raving Alphas addicted to Trance.

what makes you so sure it isn't type related?

I like my music served on a clean stereo plate, hot and fresh, raw and uncluttered, spicy, colorful, with a dash of groove that brings out a smile and makes you wanna move.

I consider music my dual and me in unity, so it must be rich in both Ti and Fe aspects, structured, not too much, and emotionally expressive. I usually don't like lyrics in music, but funny Alpha music awesome.

I care about the lyrics more than anything, although I don't like the sound of electric guitars. Or saxaphones. I like acapella because I can hear the words. I would like classical music if it weren't so distracting. I like lyrics to be humerous, a fun story, scientifically accurate, and/or profound.

I would say that I was most attracted to the songs listed as beta in previous threads over others. The ones I knew and liked most were almost all alpha and beta. It seems obvious you should be attracted to your quadra values.

It may be in the sense of whether or not someone gets bent out of shape concerning what they should or shouldn't listen to. I find more and more I will listen to whatever the hell I want and don't care how big of a nerd/loser it makes me seem.

I agree with this. My best friend and I like a lot of the same artists, but usually favor opposite sounding albums and songs. We had a conversation about it, and we found that we valued the exact opposite qualities in music, but for whatever reason we liked generally the same things. I guess the only way to really find out is do a Pandora Radio-like experiment; ask people what songs resonate with them the most (or some other similar criteria) and see if you could find a correlation between the songs chosen by particular types.

I like my music as I like my drinks: cold, dark and acidic
...the human race will disappear. Other races will appear and disappear in turn. The sky will become icy and void, pierced by the feeble light of half-dead stars. Which will also disappear. Everything will disappear. And what human beings do is just as free of sense as the free motion of elementary particles. Good, evil, morality, feelings? Pure 'Victorian fictions'.
