I wish that people wouldn't snog next to me in the bus. There's only so much of that noise I can take! The sloshing and the mushing and the gross sound of wet lips ... but really, besides that it's fine. I mean, I'm fine with it. Whatever ...

I'm not a big fan of excessive PDA, like when you play tonsil hockey in the middle of high traffic areas. To me that edges towards exhibitionist rather than PDA. Another example of the PDA I don't like is when people are hanging out with couple-friends and they get all cooey and giggly and fondling on couches. That happens less so now that I'm in my twenties, but you get it occassionally and it's really frigging annoying.

However, I enjoy more PDA then my parents who (all but my SLE step-dad, lolz) seem to corner affection for behind closed doors. That or they have none, lol.

This is true, and is the big difference for me. I like the idea of a quick kiss out in public, because why not? I'm not hiding anything, and I want to be able to share my affection anywhere. But I don't need foreplay in the street.

I think it's childish and insecure if people have to show PDA to their lover all the time, but I can understand a bit of it if you're newly in love.

Actually I got upset at everybody once because when my cousin was in love everybody was all miserable to her about it. "Oh why are they so cutsey with each other, it's not real!" blah blah blah.

Some people are just unnecessarily negative. Of course love is going to fade! That's not the point. If you have it, you're in it, enjoy it while it lasts.

Fuck negative doomsayers. There is already enough cynicism in the world.

I don't mind it on special occasions, like something crazy that warrants making-out, but in general, I'm not a fan of this 30+sec PDA thing. I don't mind things like holding hands and cuddling and stuff, it's just the excessive making out that gets annoying.

In theory, I suspect I'd like PDAs, but I've never experienced one. When others do it around me, I tend to ignore them; when I look at them, I usually think I'm making them nervous.

Its always made me uncomfortable and Tom can't fucking help doing it with his GF's all the time. He knows. I think he does it to piss everyone off though...

I'm kinda indifferent. Maybe initially it's nice but then if it's constant and interferes with whatever else I'm doing it becomes annoying and I have the urge to swat at the offender.

But as a greeting from a loved one it's ok.
