Gary Glitter -- musician, ESTp, pedophile

    Some IEIs:

    Marilyn Manson

    Eminem

But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

I think Zack de la Rocha is either IEI or SEI. His music is more Beta, though. RAtM were my middle school favorites.

"How could we forget those ancient myths that stand at the beginning of all races, the myths about dragons that at the last moment are transformed into princesses? Perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us act, just once, with beauty and courage. Perhaps everything that frightens us is, in its deepest essence, something helpless that wants our love."

Wink possible beta musician: my two-cents

Conor Oberst: IEI or LSI maybe? he had a traumatic and basically sh*tty childhood.

a taste of his lyrics. they make me think IEI very much, except for the possibility of extensive and complex underlying meanings

one of MY personal favorites, Lime Tree:
I keep floating down the river but the ocean never comes
Since the operation I heard you're breathing just for one
Now everything is imaginary, especially what you love
You left another message said it's done,
    It's done

When I hear beautiful music it's always from another time
Old friends I never visit, I remember what they're like
Standing on a doorstep full of nervous butterflies
Waiting to be asked to come inside
    Just come inside

    But I keep going out
I can't sleep next to a stranger when I'm coming down
It's 8 a.m. my heart is beating too loud
    Too loud
Don't be so amazing or I'll miss you too much
I felt something that I had never touched

Everything gets smaller now the further that I go
Towards the mouth and the reunion of the Known and the Unknown
Consider yourself lucky if you think of it as home
You can move mountains with your misery if you don't
    If you don't

It comes to me in fragments, even those still split in two
Under the leaves of that old Lime Tree I stood examining the fruit
Some were ripe and some were rotten, I felt nauseous with the truth
There will never be a time more opportune

So I just won't be late
The window closes, shock rolls over in a tidal wave
And all the color drains out of the frame
So pleased with a daydream that now living is no good
I took off my shoes and walked into the woods
I felt lost and found with every step I took
"If you can find out little melodies for yourself on the piano it is all very well. But if they come of themselves when you are not at the piano, then you have still greater reason to rejoice; for then the inner sense of music is astir in you. The fingers must make what the head wills, not vice versa."- Robert Schumann

Robert Del Naja of Massive Attack, IEI

    Best interview I've found:

    (0:30 onwards)

(ignore the video, it is badly out of sync)

Beth Gibson of Portishead, IEI (she's pretty uncooperative at first, but very interesting)

    (find the rest yourself)

    James Hetfield of Metallica, LSI

lol, I love the way it is necessary to write that he is paedophile.

By the way, I find it coincidental how Del Naja starts talking about Gary Glitter in the second video around 0:45 given the conversation, haha.

You might remember Lightning Crashes from about 15 years ago. Here's a live version with Adam Duritz of Counting Crows (probably another IEI)
