I'm good with Lou Reed and hmm...Mark Wahlberg. Would you type Matt Damon as LSI too? I'm less hot on Dr Phil, but that's personal distaste coming through there rather than an actual coherent argument against type. Ethan Hawke as LSI suprises me. I don't know enough about Michael Jordan to comment, and ditto on Van Halen. I like the mixture of music and sports celebs though, I think it's appropriate.

I'd argue against using Che Guevara as a type exemplar because of the cultural baggage he carries - I think the average knowledge of Che is so so far from the reality of Che that he's more like a rorschach ink blot than a real life person. I also think he's too politically divisive, which is a limitation I would apply to Dick Cheney as well. If you identify with the opposing political view, it is possible you'd look at those type exemplars and think you couldn't be that type at all.

I fucking adore James Dean, he was the emo icon of my early teenage years, love love love.

    Dali or Lennon.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

    Thanks everyone...

Idolatrie--those are really good points about Che and Dick Cheney... (Those are two people I doubt are included in the same sentence much, haha.) Do you think James Dean would be okay to use for LSI? (Thank you for vetoing Dr. Phil, lol)

Gilly, Numbers, would you be good with Lou Reed for LSI? James Dean? I keep forgetting that people in Australia and England would be less aware of Jordan's personality.

Ok so maybe he's not the best "middle-of-the-road" example. But, then we have to ask...who that is Beta is going to be "middle of the road?"

Actually his sort of...expression of internal tension, in both speech and face, is quite clearly reminiscent of ******, IMO.

If the instructions are just to choose from the listed options, then I'm totally good with Lou Reed and/or James Dean. I'll caveat that with not having thought properly about their types, but hey, if you're confident of them, coolbeans.

I think James Dean is slightly less obscure than Lou Reed, but then a part of me goes if someone doesn't know who Lou Reed is, then they really shouldn't be an LSI! *elitist*

Why is ****** stated as a proposal? You should get rid of him.
