1. Size up everything and everyone. Sit facing the room in which you're sitting, or planning on sitting. Don't let things happen or people do or say things without your watching it all take place. Observe when you need to do, and act when you need to.
2.Take the lead in a situation which requires it of you. When someone makes a suggestion, be sure to make them act on it. If said suggestion involves you, act on it in order to inspire said someone to act on it too. Don't wait for something to happen - make it happen. Don't be foolish about acting; restraint is a tactical decision based on the situation in which you find yourself. Control is something in which you should always find yourself.
3. Don't be afraid to generalise - it's the only way to get through the world effectively. Store only that information which will become useful in future. Don't be afraid to use people as means rather than ends - after all, this is how many people treat you (particularly - and perhaps only - those who you will treat as means); again, this is how to make the most of life and best achieve your goals.
4. People are weak. Why be like them? If you help them, that is a personal, non-type related decision. However, you are certainly not the person who needs help, and if you do, those who can help you know it, and will do so automatically. (You will obviously return the favour.)
5. Instill some confidence in yourself and you abilities. You can achieve what you take on, because you know exactly what to go after and what to drop as unattainable. Others have a bearing on your actions only insofar that they are the object of your actions. Everyone else is irrelevant, unless they are useful in helping you to achieve your objective or overcome the obstacle.
*ADVISORY NOTE: if you take any of this on board, it probably means you are Se and/or Ti valuing, since it is normative advice for those who are inept in such ways, and while SLEs naturally do all this, you will be trying to do it. Also, if you are not SLE, much of this you may find impossible and/or undesirable.*
