Default One Enneagram/Socionics inconsistency which could lead to the downfall of...

...the entire compatibility of the two systems.

We agree that Fives can be ILIs, yes? And that they can be LIIs?

Well, the stereotypical Two is an ESE.

That means any 2-5 relations described in the literature should be a total headfuck of a contradiction.

Enneagram isn't "incompatible" with Socionics. It just has noobish descriptions of physiological types.

Enneagram comes from the Sufi tradition, and this caused Enneagram to fill itself with stereotypes. Such as "E5s are all a bunch of stupid introverts", or "E8s can be cool and magnanimous". (that's why you should go for Model Phi, it doesn't follow Sufi caricatures, and doesn't describe you Eights as cool people)

My solution is that the Enneagram does not describe relationships. It describes motivations, which can be respected by any type. If the literature describes enneagram relationships, ignore it.

Or SLEs and IEIs. Or SEEs and ILIs.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

Oh... you're saying 7s and 4s can't respect each others' motivations?

Yeah. Fours and Eights are actually very compatible in both socionics and Enneagram literature.

Not sure about Sevens and Fives (if that's what you're alluding to with the second example), but I think Eights and Fives are supposed to be quite compatible.
