Default IEI-SLE conversation and appreciation (INFp-ESTp)

IEI: it's going to be warm tomorrow. wanna go for a motorcycle ride?
SLE: ok. I'll try to make this happen, let's plan on it. (reschedules his entire day, charges the battery, gets the tires filled, etc)

    Later, during ride:

SLE: I really appreciate how you got me out here today--it's an amazing day.
IEI: Well I knew it was going to be warm so I thought it was worth a try. you're the one who actually made it happen.

Amusing how the SLE thinks it's the IEI who made it happen and the IEI thinks it's the SLE who made it happen (it was, of course, the SLE who DID make it happen)

It can't happen without the idea.

    Here's another Se appreciation:

SLE and IEI are driving for hours. It's lunchtime but neither really knows what the exact time is. SLE stops when he feels hungry without even consulting the IEI (which is exactly what the IEI wants so she doesn't have to deal with the decision-making). He stops wherever he wants, says he's going to get a couple types of sandwiches and she can choose from what he brings out (Hooray! that way the IEI doesn't have to face the millions of choices from the menu). She waits outside for him, enjoying the breeze. He returns, food in hand and she decides which sandwich she wants. PERFECT!!!! (he even throws in a donut that they can split)

Eh, I shouldn't even be posting in here. I always ruin and/or incite arguments in Beta threads. Agh.

Um...wow k...so like this happen about a week before shit hit the fan with my IEI....

    In the begining...

Me: reluctant to open up, show emotion, was compartmentalizing relationships, was not always my true self, etc
IEI: Forced me to "be myself" and to "open up" etc. etc.

About a couple months later (a week ago this convo took place

Me: "I just want to thank you for, esentially forcing me to be myself, to open up, and for opening my eyes a little bit more"
IEI: "Well, I'm not trying to run your life or tell you what to do, but I guess a little buit of advice, guidance and suggestions, at the end of it all, you're the one that made the change, you're the one who did what needed to be done and made the change. It's all you"
Yesterday I knew nothing, today I know that.

By constantly complaining that I don't open up. To me, to my friends, and my family lol. And, because I like him I tried my best to do so, to show him that I'm capable of it. BUT, that's only because I really like and care about him.

"constantly complaining" eh? Funny! When I'm with my SLE friend I find that he opens up on his own. but that's probably because he's been married to an IEI for 17 years.

It's not that I dont want to open up...it's just that it's hard for me...but over time with him, it's something that I'm getting use to with him. It becomes easier as time goes on.

But none the less, even when I do open up, according to him it's still not enough. He recognizes that I do open up, he says it himself, however, he still mentions to others that i don't from time to time.

WELL HE MUST NOT BE VERY GOOD AT OPENING YOU.

I wouldn't worry. But i t's kind of rude for him to mention it to other people.
