    Default Deciding between dual types

I have read a lot here and found what you guys say to be very interesting but I am still not sure what my type is. The strange thing is that the types I am trying to decide between are duals to each other. I think I must be either IEE or SLI. I know these are supposed to be very different from each other and I am sure they are to people from the outside looking in but I don't know how to tell for myself.

I feel like I identify with the IEE descriptions AND SLI, and I'm not sure which ones I am identifying with because that's how I am naturally or because that's what I work at to develop long before even hearing about socionics.

Maybe someone here can help me. What are the most obvious ways to distinguish between IEE and SLI?

I couldn't find any of the newer versions online, but try this test:

I can give more info, espescially if you have questions in particular but Im not going to post pics because I don't want them on the net and because I'm not convinced VI is very reliable.

I guess what I'm looking for is if anyone can tell me how they identify an IEE, compared with how they might identify an SLI. Or anything else people might think would be useful. I want to know the answers to my questions because I want to figure out my own type obviously. But also because I think and hope it would be helpful to others as well.

Thank you for the link and thank you for the welcome. '

Here are my results: INTp, T subtype and ENFp, no subtype.

These seem like very different types. Actually I did consider ILI before. Would you say this is a relaible indicator that I am IEE rather than SLI?

Haha, I thought the same, but I don't think that test ever gives two dual types as a result.

No, I wouldn't say that. (INTp-Te is still very close to ISTp etc.) But I would say that you should read up on more material, accumulate more information and in time you'll be able to figure things out for yourself.

    Watch this:
    http://www.people.iup.edu/rdxm/v6/pt...=21&substc_d=2

It's possible to reverse-engineer the results and get the answers back. The test questions decide, respectively, between:

    • and ego
    • and ego
    • and ego
    • and ego
    • EJ temperament and IP temperament
    • EP temperament and IJ temperament
    • IP subtype and EJ subtype
    • Dynamic sybtype and dynamic no subtype
    • EP subtype and IJ subtype
    • Static subtype and static no subtype

It never does decide whether you're Static or Dynamic, so the two options will always be one Static type and one Dynamic type.

Over SLI, they will be the type who has trouble making a decision between two variables like this.. And they have a closer relationship with (Te) than ENFp-Fi. Your general speech also reminds me of another ENFp-Ne I've met somewhat, but not really of SLIs I've met.

Funny, that test pins me as ENFj-F or ENFp-x.

    Based on what?

Accepting functions are odd, producing functions are even. IEE-Fi is the producing subtype, and has a stronger Te focus than IEE-Ne, the accepting subtype (which would lean more towards Si).

Unless I managed to misread a wiki article somewhere.

    EDIT

And that test put me as SEI-Fe or IEE split.

    I still say IEE-Fi.

However, the vital ring functions work backward - the more valued they are, the weaker they are. So IEE-Fi would have more difficulty using , and since it's valued either way, would merely feel more helpless without help.

    Bizarro ring.

How does that work with the Id functions then?
