I'm thinking ISTj or INTp or actually maybe even the delta I (<3 who are hilarious!), that isn't INFj, gosh sorry forgot the types letters?
Very polite, sweet, gentleman like with those he doesn't know too well. Then pretty blunt, critical and sarcastic - dry sense of humor, lol . He is very confident, but not cocky. Good at standing up for himself and his views, even if many people disagree, holds his own, unbudging.
For sure an I. Workaholic, into rugby, on a team - very dedecated to it haha, goes everyday to train.
He's just rather lovely. But confusing. LOL.
We get along well, but he is all mixed messages (i don't get if he likes me or if he just doesn't like me as a person lol )..
Any ideas?

Basically right, except I think it would probably rule out Delta NF, Gamma irrational, and Alpha extrovert.

If he is LSI, dinki, this is testament to why IEIs and LSIs aren't as good a match as EIEs and LSIs or IEIs and SLEs.

Actually I know of a few LSI IEI relationships, one of which have been married for at least 15 years and another for at least 25 years.

about his type; no. about relationships with busy people-> only enter them if you are sufficiently independent, occupied yourself. 'hey I'm dating a guy i never see.' is a lot less worse when you aren't sitting around pining for him. just saying, a girl has to have some hobbies.
