Default Alphas: Do you see some Delta interactions as snakey?

From the wiki: "Delta types reject dramatism and emotional affect in favor of wry humor and understatement."

I think the "wry humour" part can easily be misconstrued as uncalled for, especially by Alpha Fe-valuing.

To the Alphas: do you have an equivalent? Do you ever take jabs at eachother that are just understood as being in the name of Teh Lulz?

I start to hate socionics. It's such a simplification. I think most of these descriptions suck. I love emotional affect (ENFp). And most of the INTjs I know favour wry humor.

Well, obviously, from a Delta perspective, we're just being warm and cuddly by lobbing barbs at eachother from time to time

Thats BS. Humor is humor. I too enjoy wry humor and understatement.

Also I enjoy irony, wit, sarcasm, incongruity, and satire.

Yeah their inability to get my insults as jokes and taking them as serious gets on my nerves at times.

True. But why would that make me snakey?

no offense, but perhaps it's time for you to question your self-typing.

I think wry humor (as in showing the strange side of an idea?) is -oriented, which suits us fine. We just favor as well.

    Define:wry

    "Humorously sarcastic or mocking."

Some people, I'd imagine, only pick up on the "mocking" without processing the "humorously".

I sometimes take ideas to their ridiculous conclusions in order to refute them. That can be interpreted as humor, and I'm not annoyed when it is, but it usually isn't how I intended it.
