    Default Spartacus

    I'm thinking ESI:

    * Definitely introverted.
    * The whole idea of rejecting intrisical differences among men (=aristocracy) indicates being a member of a democratic quadra.
    * Does not oppose power, but gravitates naturally toward a position of authority (valued Se).
    * He didn't had elaborate ideas about justice like a Ti type would. He simply had an innate sense of what is "good" and what is "bad".

I think both if us know that most forum members would say he's a typical ESTp! Anyway, I don't know his type. So let's add some feedback

    1) Every revolution leader claims he will defend justice and it changes after seizing power

    2) ESTps logical subtype are usually not very outspoken

    3) I cannot imagine an ISFj ruling a group. I don't want to insult ISFjs, but I think they lack vision. In fact, I think most ISFjs would decline that position.

    4) His irreverence to the roman leaders might confirm he belongs to a merry quadra

    5) Physical strength and guts

    6) My vote goes for ESTp

I LOVE THIS SHOW! Unfortunately, I'm not really well versed in socionics to agree or disagree with your typings. Sorry :[

Yeah, it's pretty crazy. Mostly it seems sort of Se/Ni. Spartacus and Crixus seem similar in a lot of ways and, even though they hate the shit out of each other, I can't help but feel they're either mirrors or identicals. The show itself reminds me a lot of a thread Gilly made about aristocrats and democrats.

Your typings are quite good. I'm not sure about Spartacus yet, the actor playing him is more LSI, but the character played might be SLI: Crixus obviously is a worshipper of Beta-heroism, and although Spartacus has accepted his new life as Gladiator (in Holland episode #9 aired last Sunday), he doesn't seem to be quite full of it yet like Crixus is, as if he wants to retain his independence.

BTW, has any of you already re-enacted one of the sex scenes??

Default Spartacus : Blood and Sand, Gods of the Arena

    Spartacus:Blood and Sand, Gods...

    Batiatus:SEE, aspiring Politician of Rome
    Lucretia: SXE or weak ILI
Spartacus: ? Fi type? Si? Ni?
Similar to Jake Sully in a way.
    Solonius:LSI Ti
Doctore: ESI or LSI, maybe even a Te type
    Naevia: EII or IEI
    Duro:LIE
    Gannicus: SLE Se
    Barca: ESE Si?
    Pietros: SEI
Asher: ILE or SEE, or even ILI-Te
Crixus: EII?ILI? I hate this actor. He's so soap opera, romance novel bad...the "I can't believe its not butter" guy..Fabio with bull like qualities.

There was some other thread where this was talked about but it never got much action. I remember rather tentatively typing Quintus Batiatus as an EIE, though SEE appeals to a lot of the problems I had reconciling. Namely how he tends to act in a way that asserts himself for immediate advancement but doesn't really seem to have a grasp on how it's all going to turn out.

Lucretia I have as SLE. Part of that is just the actress type leaking in, but there's not a lot the character does to make it a problematic typing imo.

    Pietros: SEI
Ashur: Even though he's a bit of a rat, he might be one of my favorite characters on the show. I just don't know how to type him though. ILE I can live with.
    Crixus: Beta ST
    Naevia: IEI
Doctore: LSI though something doesn't quite gel there.
    Solonius: I can buy LSI
Gannicus: I'll have to think about it. Merry EP feels right.

Who is Duro again? I haven't seen the first season in a long time.

Duro (EDIT wrong name i meant Claudius Glaber) is the asshole Roman commander who breaks his agreement with Spartacus. I see him as a gamma Te , LIE . I think thats a big reason why Batiatus was able to so easily snatch Spartacus from him.
Duro is probably a IEI or another SLE. Minor character
The EIE for Batiatus could be the actor more than the characters actions, either way hes supposed to embody the cunning Roman politician. I like SEE better for now.
Gannicus loves his whores and wine, and defeating foes in the arena but is unpredictable and gets bored easily. I think he longs for something greater. EP yeah... reminds me of Colin Ferrell (and a little Eric Bana), IEI is my backup type. Duals with Naevia. I think he likes Melitta (IEE) because she gives him some NiFe? Prob also natural because he bones her and doesn't have any relationships with ho's.
Tullius: EIE or SEE, Batiatus's main Rival.
Doctore: Fi>Fe SLI He always makes sure his gladiators are in Prime condition and looks out for their fighting condition.
Naevia: Yeah IEI, and shes Lucretia's (SLE) attendant. Overall Lucretias character seems more her(lucy lawless) and doesn't have much depth because she just advises her husband most of the time.
Crixus: LSI-Se is possible. He's so damn emotional though and has his feelings stung all the time. He has the typical kneejerk reactions to threats and overreacts. Gannicus is suprised by his reckless Se, and Fi valuing. Thats why I say EII. See the last episode of Gods. He visually reminds me some of Mitt Romney. DUMB MEATHEAD TOO HARD TO TYPE.
Spartacus does seem LSI or SLI...

    Varo: Fe yeah...SEI i think.

Pretty decent show, until Spartacus was replaced with new actor and he went full SLI. Probably not the right sociotype to lead a rebellion for a very sustained amount of time.

Most of the typings in the thread I would generally agree with.

Julius Cesar in the third season is reminiscent of Guy Pearce. Some forumites would have Guy as EII. I think Cesar plays more like ILE in the series.

So sweet that Gannicus may have found a dual who brings him deeper meaning in the last season.
