    Default Buffy & True Blood.

I love Buffy! Best show ever, Joss is such an IEI! I love him! For everyone that watches it, what types did you get for the characters?

Also does anyone watch True Blood? What do you think the characters types are? I think Alan Ball is also an IEI, yay to IEI writers/producers .

What I get, is too much Fe from your post.

I liked the Buffy movie better actually.
...the human race will disappear. Other races will appear and disappear in turn. The sky will become icy and void, pierced by the feeble light of half-dead stars. Which will also disappear. Everything will disappear. And what human beings do is just as free of sense as the free motion of elementary particles. Good, evil, morality, feelings? Pure 'Victorian fictions'.

I haven't watched Buffy in years and never watched it regularly. So, I won't even attempt to type the characters.

I watch True Blood. Actually created a thread a while back asking about Bill and Sookie, but no one replied. Here it is anyway since I posted clips. I've also read all the books the show is based on, but I don't think the characters are all that consistent between the books and the show. I liked the show a lot better when it first started. There seemed to be more of what I commented on on my thread. Subsequent episodes have become more fantastical and less focused on character development, IMO. Eh, Sookie's getting on my nerves. So I'm not all that into it now. Not that it's on again for another few weeks anyway.

Based on the book, I've thought either ESFj or ESFp. I go back and forth between these two. The show seems to indicate ESFp>ESFj, IMO. What do you think?

Yeah, I <3 Alan Ball and Joss Whedon. I have both Six Feet Under and Buffy on DVD.

Joss as an IEI makes complete sense. Alan Ball, however, might be something else...

=/ Yeah, I was just thinking my posts here are way to Fe for no reason. I just thought it would make posts more interesting.

I'm not this Fe in rl unless I am trying to be all INFp...

Oh cool! I have only just started watching True Blood, otherwise I would have replied to your other post ! Sookie is pissing me off already and I am only on episode 3, since I am only on 3 I don't really think I can type the characters as of yet. Thanks for your reply.

Don't know the series too well, but Buffy is an indisputable ESTj as far as I'm concerned. She's the "onslaught" type that just does the job to the best of it's ability, most of the time overshooting it's mark, doesn't complain about inconveniences and through all of it maintains a good level of sophistication and familiarity. Totally ESTj that.

Angel is probably ESTj for the same reasons. Spike more of an ENTj.

Joss Whedon is probably one of the most nuanced writers out there. Not so much for buffy since I only saw a few episodes there, but firefly/serenity was cast and executed impeccably.

Um, no. Well she is the onslaught type, but she is wrought with guilt because of that, which is why she prefers the company of passive people. She needs constant reassurance that she's not just a power killing machine, that she has heart, etc. It's not something she's too proud of, and many episodes has her dealing with her superior strength with people, and coming to accept that she is stronger than them. As for not complaining about inconveniences, hell no- she's rather quite whiny and dramatic, especially in the later seasons. She is quite sophisticated, I agree with that.

I don't even think she's EJ at all, IJ is much more applicable to her. Despite being assertive, she is much more deliberate-ish with her actions, and she clearly gets energy from her own thoughts and feelings - not other people. She prefers to keep a safe distance with people, which is why she likes Willow and Giles (and the brooding Angel) so much - as they all know how to keep their distances.

Overshooting its mark? No, she thinks a lot. Faith is the one that overshoots her mark. Buffy has been more self-controlled and disciplined. The few times when she 'let the beast out' she was very nervous and self-loathing about it, even though she liked it at the time, she felt very guilty about it.

Buffy is a very balanced person, she is smart as she is strong, she's self-controlled as she is an inner whore, she is pragmatic as she is romantic, she has a superiority complex and an inferiority complex about it, etc. These contradictory traits probably pin her to a 6 type in enneagram as well. She struggles with loneliness, of knowing she is the one that ultimately knows the right thing to do. She also benefits very well from Giles' chi and balance exercises, which ultimately a 6 type would.

Good Angel is probably ISFj. Giles not-so-well played INTp, the actor is ENTp. Cordelia ENFj or ESFj maybe. Willow probably INFp.

This is quite a good analysis I think.

exactly what I was going to post to say.

It's a great show because it deals with how the goodness in people is the whole of many sides coming together, and how you can't really compartmentalize anything and have it end well. Ie we're all beings that purely want sex/love, but having them in a vacuum only brings out our darkest natures and things we'd later regret. There's a concept that everything has to be earned, or fought for, or sacrificed- to achieve those things we truly want. The sex and the love and the pain and the liberation we all so desperately seek is mixed in with a whole bunch of other shit.

I'd let Evil Willow suck my cock all day for a dose of magiks.
Haha Rack was so porn star-y.
