IEE or ILE?

IEEs and/or ILEs relate to this?

In social situations, feeling/knowing (sometimes) like you're coming across as an ass, but feeling like you can't stop yourself - like you just have to keep going or something. Maybe thinking you've blown it anyway ... so might as well just amuse yourself with people's reactions.

I think the feeling that you are an ass is less strong for ILE.

its just a not being sure. it's just a feeling you might be being an ass. I wouldnt say I go all out.

So in hindsight, can you say for certain whether or not you were acting like an ass?

Yeah I can relate to that sort of. Not sure who's feeling is stronger mine or mske's. Depends though. If I feel I've blown it and the person is likely to ridicule me, I wouldn't want to see that person any more and would likely take steps to make sure our paths never crossed again.

But if, perchance, your paths did cross again ... would you more likely affect an air of "I don't care what you think of me" and produce more assishness (sp?) to rub it in, or would you be sort of subdued and quiet and uncomfortable-looking? Or none of the above....
