Moral of the story is, you'll find SLEs in all walks of life. They're not all good, nor all bad.

However, many SLEs are more commonly drawn to certain activities in order to (stereotypically*) satisfy their Se. You should find a fair few Beta STs in the military, in training corps (or whatever it is you have in the US - ROTC?) etcetera. This provides an outlet for their Se - discipline, active lifestyles, wine, woman and song - and for their Ti - strict hierarchy and a strong ideology. In line with the stereotype, you're likely to find a large percentage of SLEs out on the field, playing football (saaker), rugby (American football in your case) and hockey, or on a court, playing tennis or basketball. Again, this is to satisfy the "get the ball rolling" (no pun intended) aspect of Se. One which may be less stereotypical but still the epitome of SLE is in high positions in the corporate world; I'm talking about chief execs (the guys who are not actually fucked by back-room dealers, but who run the show from the outset), back-room dealers themselves and power/stock brokers. These certainly provide an outlet for an SLE's Se; in fact, it's like paradise - getting people to do what you want them to do, and doing this well.

*I say stereotypical because not all SLEs are ADHD kids. I get tired of the "come on let's do stuff" aspect of OTC. I just want to go home, grab a shower, wrap myself in a throw, and indulge in creature comforts.

yeah, the SLE I know is a senior vice president for a large financial firm. he's the one who brings in the clients, seals the deal. he travels all around visiting clients and bringing in the money. his partner deals with the other aspects of the business but the SLE is the best with people and getting out there to bring in the business.

Default Where to find/meet ESTps and ISTjs?

Ok, now that I had to leave my dual behind :frown: I must go SLE hunting before my heart breaks to small pieces.

Where are the best places to find SLEs? The places that immediately come to my mind are sporting events, sports bars, bars in general (is this accurate?). Any other places, maybe not so obvious to me?

Well I would say that the best place to start would be getting out of the house. As far as a specific place goes I'm not really sure, any place were people are doing active things?

Personally you could find me at theater events, theater workshops, library, maybe at the gym if I'm bored. Basically though the thing that you need to look for is the loudest person in the room. Or the most obnoxious, or something along those lines. And places that are really competitive, I greatly enjoy competition of any kind.

This is my life. If I didn't get lonely, I would probably spend all my time in my dorm room and the library. But luckily, I do get lonely, so I have to actually go out into the world and deal with people to find some that I like enough to hang out with who will also hang out with me.

I also vote for basketball courts, but pretty much anything that's "out there" accomplishing things is good. I mean, yes, SLEs do tend to be fairly physically active, but I think they just tend to be pushing hard towards their goals in whatever field they're interested in, and there are as many interests as there are SLEs. I know probable SLEs (I still don't trust my typing skills 100%) that are into acting, directing, philosophy, golf, classical languages... pretty much everything.

So, my suggestion is, besides joining your local gym and visiting often, to find a hobby that really interests you (especially something with a lot of obvious Ni/Fe, because I think SLEs can be drawn to stuff like that), and pursuing that wholeheartedly. You might meet some SLEs along the way!
Not a rule, just a trend.

IEI. Probably Fe subtype. Pretty sure I'm E4, sexual instinctual type, fairly confident that I'm a 3 wing now, so: IEI-Fe E4w3 sx/so. Considering 3w4 now, but pretty sure that 4 fits the best.

    Yes 'a ma'am that's pretty music...

I am grateful for the mystery of the soul, because without it, there could be no contemplation, except of the mysteries of divinity, which are far more dangerous to get wrong.

yeah. they tend to do sports and athletics. catching them watching them as fans might not yield as reliable results lol.

my SLE ex likes to fish, hike, work out, play basketball, ski.

yep. bars and discotheques. The ones making the loudest noise, or are the first and only on the dancefloor, or well they probably find you sooner anyways...

Isn't that the worst? God kneeing your self in the face sucks. Plus I can tell you right now nobody looks at you when it happens and thinks to themselves "Damn he's cool!"
