is this supposed to be appealing to e, s, f, or p types?
Posts I wrote in the past contain less nuance.

I got the joke, if that means anything to you Sycophant. How could you vi the bears? They all look the same and appear genderless. Maybe they are all unixes which causes them to have unusual special abilities... hmmm

    How old are you?

Care Bears were big when I was very small.

and movies. and stickers. and toys. and clothes. and... and ... and ... slightly annoying but at least with a less puritanical perspective than most kid stuff.

    What about this guy:

He is called Bamse, which means something like "big guy" (for undisclosed reasons).

He is very politically correct (according to Swedish standards), always emphasizing that "no one ever becomes a better person through corporal punishment".

He doesn't like violence, but sometimes he has to deal with crooks of various sorts and then he eats "thunder-honey" which makes him super-strong. (His grandmother cooks it up in her drug lab.)

He is a loving father and husband.

His best friends include a rabbit who has a nervous disposition and who always neds to overcome his fear in order to help Bamse save the day (for instance, by fetching thunderhoney), as well as a tortoise inventor who rigidly follows his "sleep-and-eat" watch, which has an alarm that sounds at the most inappropriate occasions.

@edanius: WOW I know Bamse. I still keep a book with him from when I was a kid. Is he a Swedish character? Or who invented such story?

Yeah, he's the No. 1 domestic cartoon here

Although most readers are probably between 5 and 10, I actually have a 25-year old friend who has a subscription! Since he is my only gay acquaintance, I can only presume that all Swedish gay men read Bamse...

I didn't know there were any translations, that's cool! However, I believe our ex-prime minister gave a Bamse tie to Clinton. It woulda been cool if he used it for tying up Ms Lewinsky, but I guess we'll never know...

It seems Care Bears are actually coming from TV as a rerun! Now I can watch them They have a stupid Finnish name though ("Halinallet") which means more like Hug/Huggy/Hugging Bears or something.
