When it comes to forum typings, it seems that the ones which are easiest to type, or where there is a general forum consensus, is that Beta types are the ones most easy to type/identify.

There has been as I recall, a lot of Delta typings which have been and still are called into question, and in Alpha, INTj seems a difficult one to type..ie is Hitta INTj, is UDP, Carla an INTj etc.

And in gamma..the typings of INTp's such as Phaedrus, Crazedrat (who are the only regular self typed INTp's that I can think of) have been frequently called into question.

I don't think anyone who says they are Beta, or really anyone in Beta have their type doubted, at least vast majority, if not all?

I wonder if anyone has any ideas why that is? Are other quadras and some types harder to identity, or is Beta easier to type, or easier to place people in?

one (of many) reasons could relate to a point that niffweed made once, which I thought was reasonable: that because of the nature of socionics it is like to attract Ti and Ni valuing types - Betas being the types that value both. So many more people are typed here as Betas (and more non-self-typed-betas are suggested to be betas than vice versa) because there are actually more betas here on this forum.

Interesting. Can you recall the reasons why the nature of socionics could be more likely to attract Ti and Ni type?

I don't think it has much to do with Beta being easier to type, etc.

I think it has to do with different understanding of what the types, functions, quadras, etc, are like. That goes for all quadras.

I think the beta social style tends to be easier to spot than the other quadras'. Plus we possess more salient stereotypes than other quadras, i.e. the macho ESTp, social khamelion ENFj...it's mythical lol.
