    Post Sense of Direction

I have pretty bad sense of direction especially when it comes to going to a new place. I always need the address and get directions using mapquest. And must also look at a visual map to get there, and not just street names. I also need to jot down how many miles before making a turn. Also, entering and exiting freeways even to familiar places often confuse me. I make plenty of U-turns, and even if I have been driving down the same road very often, I will forget the street names I pass, and won't be able to recall what street comes after another street. I'm thinking that it's because I go into daydream mode when driving, and will concentrate more on music that is being played in the car, and location of other cars, just what's happening very near me.

I have noticed something peculiar about the way a particular ILE drives. He tends to not notice when a car in front of him stops, so he will always hit the break kinda hard, just almost barely making it. He will do this many times. Maybe I was distracting him, or maybe he does that when he's alone in the car too, idk.

I also noticed that ESTp is even more horrible when it comes to a sense of direction, while ENFj is awesome at it.

I was wondering about the other Alpha members here... how are you guys when it comes to getting from point A to B?

i'm pretty good at directions and kinda knowing where to go. at least in civilization. once you get in the woods it's easy to get turned around.

The one who gets lost finds the new ways.

If I am lost then I did it on purpose or because a wizard has been following me and changing the surroundings and turn things in to other things.

I tend to have an excellent sense of direction and I think the fact that I'm never concerned about getting lost is helpful as well. If you're not too worried about the consequences of getting lost, then you tend to relax and find your way more easily.

I'm decent at planning trips, memorizing directions, intuitively knowing whether we're headed the right direction or not, etc. I am a fairly bad driver, however. I've been described as "completely unaware" on more than one occasion. Half the time I get very focused on the goal of arriving at a destination and ignore potential obstacles and things to watch, and the other half I'm just spacing out enjoying the ride. In both cases I have to work to stay aware of the cars around me, lights, etc.

SEIs on the other hand seem extremely aware of the moment by moment process of their surroundings. They don't seem great at tracking time, planning which lane to be in, when to turn, etc. I would describe the ILE as looking "a mile ahead" all the time, and SEI as looking "a foot ahead" all of the time.

I always saw SEI-ILE duality as the SEI driving and the ILE navigating. The ILE can describe directions in a way SEI can understand and remember, and point out fun places to go as SEI drives. The SEI handles operation of the vehicle and not getting them killed getting there.

Both have their advantages and disadvantages, but together, they're unstoppable

FTR, I am also a terrible driver. It takes a lot of focus for me to pay proper attention to the road.

I have the worst sense of direction ever. Everyone who knows me teases me about it because whenever I am going somewhere new I am bound to get lost.
Also, I agree that I am very bad at knowing which lane to be in or even how fast I am driving.
Sometimes I scare myself when I drive.

I have a superb sense of direction. I actually hate how all my friends need a GPS to go anywhere these days...lol. Not to say that sometimes I don't find them really neat.

I have a good sense of direction. I agree, probably . It isn't alarming for 6th to be usable (in reference to Cracka).
