I 've made one like this for a birthday once. Only it was salty, with real big round bread and a huge piece of meat and lettuce inside etc... LOL

I don't care what the cake looks like, it just has to taste INCREDIBLE!! I think I'm SEI and I baked a cake recently for a baby shower. Here is what I did:
Went to a local farm to buy fresh Raw milk and cream (right from the cow that morning) and organically fed non-caged chicken eggs.
Went to Whole Foods to buy top of the line ingredients, 70% organic cocao, fresh organic strawberries, etc.
Beautiful, edible flowers
Stayed up all night baking this 4 layer orgasmic cake, (with breaks every couple of hours to breastfeed by baby)
Frosting was homemade whipped cream with just a touch of fresh sour cream and vanilla for richess and thickness. Plopped the layers and berries together, spread like full inch thick of frosting, just old-fashioned butter knife style, edible flowers on top, very simple. It looked pretty ordinary, but I knew better.
I wished I could have filmed for you those undersexed suburban housewives' reaction to eating this so called Simple cake!

That sure does sound like a delicious $50 cake. (Top of the line ingredients do make a big difference in quality though.)
