    It's like --

    - being the sole survivor of Krypton on Earth.
    - like Gulliver in Liliput.
    - like an Olympian god spending some time among mortals.
    - etc.

    Now, seriously --

Not sure how to answer this question. I'd say that the most general way of putting it, that might apply to all Gamma types, is having a sort of ambition connected more to personal success and wealth, rather than to status or some "higher purpose"; added to a longing for very long-term, and few in number, personal relationships.

This is a really good, short summation of the Gamma mindset. Would you mind doing so for other quadras, or have you done so somewhere and I've just missed it?

How can you answer such a question when you have never been anything but Gamma?
And this, too, shall pass away.

Not for quadras, but for dominant functions.

For Beta, what about this --

I think it may be about having a sense of being special, unique in the world (which at the same translates into a sense of never being really understood by others), and having a precise idea of how the world is and should be. And of wanting others to accept your vision of the world, and seeing you as the one who understands it best, and seeing your uniqueness.

    As for Delta --

A sense that the world is a place to live in in peace and harmony, contented with what you have while at the same time making the best of it, and wishing the same for others, that is, that others could also have this sense of contentment.

    As for Alpha --

Perhaps a sense that the world, and life, is full of limitless ideas and sensations to explore to the utmost; that there is no limit to what you can think of, see, do, experience, and understand.

i think the idea of "personal success and wealth" can be misleading. perhaps some examples of this gamma "trait" would be helpful to avoid the message that all gammas are money whores dressed in suits, dreaming up their to-do lists for the next 50 yrs. idk, maybe i really am alpha....

as for the second part, i guess i desire long-term relationships (even though they're not very realistic), but i can't make anything last. i am definitely prone to few close friendships at a time, but even those seem pretty shaky for the most part. like on a daily basis, i really don't know what is required to invest "enough" in a friendship.

Ok. What about "personal accomplishment" or "achievement of your personal goals"? It's not just about money as such. And I also didn't mean at all that you'd have a to-do list --

this is getting jumbled for me.

my "higher purpose" IS just what you say here, especially after you changed it to personal accomplishment or achievement of my personal goals...

I wouldn't call it striving towards personal success and wealth so much as looking out for yourself and those who you are really TRULY close to.

I concur with your sentiments about long term relationships. The few other Gammas i've really REALLY connected closely with.... well, we've had our ins and outs. Mostly due to misunderstandings blown out of proportion or circumstances out of our control.

But even though I don't talk to some of these people very often anymore, whenever I see them here and there I look at them and I feel a special connection like we really know eachother inside and out like other people don't, and I'm pretty sure they feel this way too.

It feels like wanting to answer something sardonic to this question.
...the human race will disappear. Other races will appear and disappear in turn. The sky will become icy and void, pierced by the feeble light of half-dead stars. Which will also disappear. Everything will disappear. And what human beings do is just as free of sense as the free motion of elementary particles. Good, evil, morality, feelings? Pure 'Victorian fictions'.

seriously though, the 80s were not Gamma ... the 60s were Gamma, with the Beatles dominating and defining the eras culture.
OK, This is all from the eyes of a music fan. I'm sure this will be slanted.
I think 80s = Beta / alpha ... hair bands seem Fe to me. Maybe I'm wrong. If you're thinking "glamour = gamma" ... not celebratory and openly indulgent like that. 70s seem like Delta, with the free sex and layed back philosophy on drugs, and stuff. um... 90s seemed like a return to delta/gamma with grunge rock. (Many people saw Nirvana as a direct counterpoint to hair band culture... led by a Fi dominant type). Kurt Cobain and Layne Staley both Delta. 2000 is Gamma nowdays I think
    ...
Some could say Tool made the late 90s and early 2000's (?) somewhat Alpha.
I see Delta as being kind of burned out in the music industry nowdays, coming off the the grunge movement. How many Kurt Cobain rip offs can get on the radio ? ...
The culture is really tired of it.
I don't know of any real big Beta bands, other then coldplay (ENFj lead singer) ..
But they're not that big, and they're really a radiohead rip-off (Gamma).
Everyone's getting kinda tired of rap, it seems like to me. ...Rap is a Beta thing. At least the Fi types I get along with don't like rap. Some of them do like old 90s rap like tupac and stuff, but usually say that's all they'll listen to.

All I can figure is that their music has an component as well as a love for sequences (the movie Yellow Submarine comes to mind).
