I don't think you're an Assertive (Three, Seven, Eight), and Withdrawn (Four, Five, Nine) is unlikely. Compliant (One, Two, Six) makes a lot of sense to me. Out of those, I do feel One makes most sense.

The so/sp one for example sounds like someone I'd want to strangle.

Don't let something like this make you think you're far from being a One. I don't like the sound of the sexual Eight, but I'm certainly an Eight.

The Enneagram Institute website is good; there's a lot of quality information there. You may also want to check out Palmer and Daniel's site, Enneagram Worldwide. I personally prefer R&H's but it's still a good resource.

The page on instincts is terrible and entirely inaccurate. Specifically where she gives each of the instinct variants a one sentence summarization of their "mindset." I disagree with all of them. They're basic, superficial, and they completely miss the point in regards to what these instincts actually mean.

I'm not sure I entirely understand 1, to be honest. I was married to at 1, and that sucked... a lot. There were endless power struggles. He's LSE though... I could see an ESI being a 1, but it would be very different from the LSE variety. ESI's are good at getting LIE's to do something without making it sound like they're making a command or demanding obedience.
