Humphrey Bogart - SLI I think

    Richard Burton - SEE

    Kirk Douglas
    - LSI I guess

Cary Grant - EIE or ESE

    Peter O'Toole -
    clear EIE

I have to think about the others.

I have stronger opinions about these:

    Tony Curtis - IEI
    Charlton Heston - ESI
    , LIE, ENTj logical subtype, 8w9 sx/sp

I would have guessed EIE > ESE for Cary Grant.

    Yes, I agree.

Charles Laughton - a clear SEI
Peter Ustinov - ESE or SEI
    , LIE, ENTj logical subtype, 8w9 sx/sp

    Bump.
    -
    It's Binky bitch.
See not the unsmiling lips and icy eyes,
And hear not the silence after.
Look instead as the mime hypnotizes
    And listen to the laughter

I'd figure Clark Gable to be Delta.

Humphrey Bogart looks a bit like the LIEs in the filatova portraits but I know nothing about him.

Kirk Douglas looks a bit like some guys I know who are Beta ST but honestly I'm not sure about their types at all.

Fred Astaire looks super EIE to me.

fred astaire: initially thought LSI, but ILE is plausible.

    humphrey bogart: ExI

    richard burton: Ti-SLE

    kirk douglas: xSI

    cary grant: ESE

clark gable: SLI was a tentative initial impression, but EP seems to make more sense, so Ti-SLE.

    peter o'toole: Fe-EIE

    jack lemmon: SEE

    gregory peck: LSI?
