    Default "Funny e-mails" and alpha

Sending funny e-mails back & forth to each other at work about mainstream issues that everybody knows about.... This is such a fucking alpha thing to do, isn't it?

Now for moi those mails need more bite & political commentary but god my alpha parents eat that shit up.

First of all, I don't know what you mean about "mainstream issues" and funny emails. How these two things coincide is beyond me.

Second, I don't forward "funny" emails to people unless they're absolutely hysterical. And I really mean hysterical. And usually what that takes is something very cleverly put together or random as fuck.

Same here. I may resend 1 out of every 50 "funny" emails I get.

Common knowledge stuff that can make everybody laugh, but in a... mediocre way? (Sounds kinda harsh I know but I don't know how else to describe it)

As always 'hysterical' is too abstract to define most likely. But that's the thing, I think alphas have a tendency to overestimate how funny something actually is. Just an observation.

    Guess it's not a type thing. Well, I didn't know so that's why I asked. =D

Me too. So intrusive. I only want e-mail that I actually want to read. If I know you well as a friend and you tell me a joke uh... that can be cool, but I'd want to know how you are doing generally too lol.

I usually just delete those things before I read them. I like random jokes that come out of the blue - not contrived ones. They remind me of soaps where they have the recorded laughter after a joke ... knowing that you're expected to laugh is sobering more than anything, and just artificial and annoying. Like those people who get together specifically to laugh, because it's supposed to be healthy or something. lol I was walking through the park the other day and there were one of these groups guffawing away for no apparent reason. What's with that? How unspontaneous can you get. lol Though if I were to go, I may start laughing at the idiocy of the concept.

    ... I hate those emails.
Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.
