    Default Summer Pics

    Since LokiV indicated interest -

This is what my "outside world" currently consists of - Part 1 and Part 2. Or, rather, believe it or not, it's a limited sampling. There are other aspects, too, which I have not photographed (yet). But this should give you an idea at least. Since it began paining me to whittle it down past the point where it is, I'm taking my cue from Cracka and linking you to an album instead of attempting to post them all here. There's a lot, so don't feel you have to look through it all.

I'll probably add to or edit this album as I have time and as I take more pictures. (Right now the quality of some of the jpegs is a bit below my standards, so I apologize for that to anyone who cares.)

    Very nice topic!

I'll start with some pics of my travels to the mountains-hills nearby. It's something I do biweekly, however often the pics are not as good on jpg as they look on my camera.

That's the small city where my girlfriend lives

That's still the small city, but now I am observing it from the mountains that are visible on the background of the preceeding pic:

A small river in a valley nearby home, on a sunny day:

Were those pics taken with a camera phone FDG? If not there's an issue with your cam you may wanna figure out. If it's a camera phone that would explain it.

How come I'm never just out in the woods and able to catch stuff like this...lol

This child doesn't have the kinda fear I've seen in some kids when riding on a horse, it's quite adorable.

    good catch.

lol, this one reminds me of what you were speaking of when you said you just start taking random pics of stuff instead of the people...lol.

Maybe you don't spend enough time in the woods? Although, this was at the beginning of the summer, by the barn and before the horses had arrived and scared the deer to other grazing grounds. I haven't seen a deer for several weeks.

I thought it was cute because the saddle was bigger than she was.

Yeah... I just can't help it. The combination of something that catches my eye (which happens often) and a digital SLR in hand is irresistible. The only thing that holds me back is a lack of time.

Hmm, she's wielding a pocket knife and a hammer... Gotta be Se. Probably some Beta ST, maybe SLE?

Edit: Look at how she's about to bend that pocketknife to her will! Or against her will. But she's going to bend it that's for sure. Look at how she has terrified the cameraperson so much that the camera can't even meet her eyes, lest the camera be sledged next! Oh the Se interplay going on there!

The Two Gentlemen of Verona, by Shakespeare

The local actors' ensemble puts on two Shakespeare plays per summer, free of charge to the public and held in various parks. I went to one of them this last weekend.

Lady Julia, waxing eloquent and emotional over a love note from Proteus

Lady Sylvia, flirting with Valentine, and Valentine's servant watching while making clever commentary

Lovers Julia and the false Proteus say farewell

A servant, Luance, and his hard-hearted dog, Crab

Valentine courting Sylvia, with jealous suitor Thurio in the background

Valentine and Proteus discussing Sylvia and Julia

Proteus informing Valentine of his banishment and counseling him to leave

Duplicitous conspiring for the heart of Sylvia between Thurio, Proteus, and Sylvia's father, the Duke of Milan

Valentine receiving counsel from his servant, Speed

Attacked by outlaws and forced to be their leader!

    Happy ending

Here's a link to more pictures.

As Cracka has mentioned before, photobucket does terrible things to the quality of pictures so, like him, I promise that the originals are nicer to look at (in terms of image quality).

In reality, cracka and UDP are correct. But, I agree, it has a sense of... story. That's why I chose the picture for the album.

    Looking across the beach:

View from the jetty to the shore:

Oh, to find you in dreams - mixing prior, analog, and never-beens... facts slip and turn and change with little lucidity. except the strong, permeating reality of emotion.

    Skimboarding is fun.

Oh, to find you in dreams - mixing prior, analog, and never-beens... facts slip and turn and change with little lucidity. except the strong, permeating reality of emotion.

    Bridge over the bay:

    "Trees":

I crept up on him while warming his wings:

Naps in the sunny grassy dunes feel good until cold clouds come by.

Oh, to find you in dreams - mixing prior, analog, and never-beens... facts slip and turn and change with little lucidity. except the strong, permeating reality of emotion.

Some of those photos remind of Quaker events I've been to in the past.

    It wasn't even her dog:

    Ocean sunsets...

Oh, to find you in dreams - mixing prior, analog, and never-beens... facts slip and turn and change with little lucidity. except the strong, permeating reality of emotion.

This palette must have been undersea for a long, long time:

    That looks fun, too:

Oh, to find you in dreams - mixing prior, analog, and never-beens... facts slip and turn and change with little lucidity. except the strong, permeating reality of emotion.
